This is just cool. It is the music from where Jesso the dog chases a beach ball on the French coastline during a Tubby video segment. Really nice job rocking this out.
@saabviggen93 That's so cool you remember the actual segment that music came from. AWESOME! You win! It's actually a flute I think... with a really nice subtle reverb/delay on it. It sounds much better than when I play it on guitar....... but oh well.
My kids are teenagers now...... but it still brings back memories. : )
how do you think this guitar would sound playing rock and some metal. not that drop d and c stuff more like ...iron maiden, metalica, acdc , stuff like that?
Yes. If you you use high gain you'll get lots of hum and feedback. That's why I replaced the stock P90s in mine with some Seymour Duncan STK-P1 P90s. They're humbuckers but look like regular P90s. I have a video up here of this guitar with those in.. if you're interested, check it out. : )
zzounds is slightly cheaper, and for me i want to get a good guitar like this that is cheap but will last me. every penny counts. and get the goldtop, it sounds just, like the gibson model and looks better than that vintage
Please eveybody tell me whether epiphone Les Pauls compare to the Gibsons at all! I have the new USA fender Strat and I want a humbucked guitar , PRS or epi les paul!
dude you're stuck in the idea that you get what you pay for and that's not always true I would rather have 4 cheaper epiphones that way I have 4 different sound styles then just have one gibson that cost a hell of alot more and is less versatile AND dcooper has a gibson he just hasn't made a video of just demonstrating it yet.
I'm getting either a Les Paul Standard or Studio. Which one would you recommend. The Standard is more money, but also I think sounds a lot better when you get the proper humbuckers.
Seriously- which one is your favorite? I figure you're the Epiphone master since you have six of them and I'm getting a new guitar... so.... which one?
Put them on a proper Les Paul i.e. a "Gibson" they sound a lot better.

I'd like to know something. I'm deciding between the Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop, with P90s, or a Epiphone Les Paul Silverburst with humbuckers.
Do they stock P90s in the goldtop sound good for classic rock?
pwnttoast 2 years ago
dude thats so weird i was debateing between those same 2 guitars!

P90 pickups are always standard on almost any Gibson or Epiphone Guitar that was made before 1958.

coolbrazilianboy 2 years ago
yah i got it wednesday and took it to my music store to change the pickups so i should get it by friday
the pickups look good
TheMaidenMike 2 years ago
Mike-The P-90 pickups are awesome! Beautiful clean tones that are really clear and chimy. However, with any kind of distortion, they are really buzzy.
Unless you have some type of footpedal with a 'noise-gate' feature in it. Duncans are usually good Pup's,but you may want to get the
Duncan P-90 Stacked Pick-ups. You get that awesome P-90 sound but with NO buzz. Hope that helps...:-)
