I want to do some animation studies too, but my drawing skills lacks~ I hope to become better some day ^^ hust like you !

a question: I really like the Music theme in this Video, which song have you used ?

(sorry for baaad englisch, I´m no native speaker but german v__v *drop*)

  • Prachtige animaties, je stijl fascineert me ^^ Ik wil zelf dolgraag leren animeren, lijkt me geweldig om te doen ^^

Anyway, goed werk, als altijd =3

  • Echt prachtig Q_Q, ben jaloers =_= Je kiest ook mooie muziek erbij =D

  • Thank you ^_^ the music is kaleidoscope of math from the film A Beautiful Mind.

  • Fuck, wat gaaf allemaal!

  • WOHOOOOO 5 stars!

  • wow, you have skills

  • Thats cool, I showed this to the classmate who was interested in drawing a manga. I still need to feed you grapes sometime... as a reward for your cool work, and to check out your new room, yeah, thats a good excuse.

    Later,

    Brian

  • This is gorgeous - I love seeing all the various mediums you work with. :o I'm a fan now!!!

  • good job, very nice! Are you going to go back to cartoon saloon?

  • I worked on Brendan in Belgium at Walking the Dog (they're with Vivi film who co produce it) - but I'd love to go pay a visit to Cartoon Saloon in the future meeting Tom and Barry again - at the moment, I'm too busy with graduating ^_^

  • nice, good luck with that...tryin' to get in there myself, looks awesome!

  • Yeah, two of my classmates actually went there for their internship, one a production assistent for Tom and the other as layout and posing artist. I was very glad to be allowed to actually do some animation and cleanup on some shots in Belgium ^_^ you should try Walking the Dog, too, they're very nice and skilled people.

  • that's good to know, your lucky you seem to be going to a good school.I've been teaching myself the past year as I wasn't taught it at vanarts, when I should have.where is "Walking the Dog" on the web? can't find it...

  • Geez, I wish my show reel could look like that...

Big up for doing 2D ^^

  • Nice work... :-)

  • Thanks! Nice to see some of your work too ^_^ I worked in Brussels for my internship and had two colleagues that were from KASK, I heard good things from them. How do you like your school?

  • wow

  • Awsome.

This stuff always make me depressed cause it shows me how bad of a drawer i really am...

Ahh well, i'm pretty good at stopmotion, and 3d. So i'll focus on that more anyways.

But it still makes me depressed...

    Impressive showreal though!

  • Thanks ^_^ but I'm not much help when it conmes to 3d and clay stopmotion, so we're even ;) it all comes down to where you want to put your focus.

  • Beautiful!

  • Woh. Yorokei directed me to this and I'm amaaaaazed!! ^^ This is so gorgeous! I also have to say that I love the music that goes with it, so magical and haunting and adding a lot to the entire video as a whole. But this is impressive. Seriously.

I'm not an animation expert or anything, but I absolutely love your style and the emotions you can put into your animations. Lovely!

  • Hahaha, that Yorokei, ^_^ thank you. Emotion is the key element that I try to emprint in all of my work, so I'm glad it shows.

  • Love <3 And hoora for Kaleidoscope of Mathematics of course. ^_^

  • Haha! Found you! Hey Marissa, this is Joost from the HKU, and I'm going to add you to my watchlist if that's okay ;). Your stuff is awesome, but you knew that, right? Greetings, and let me know how your stage worked out ;).

  • *Yikes! Ducks behind a tombstone.*

Oh, hi Joost ^_^ sure, I'll keep you informed. Heh, don't know if there's going to be uploaded anything new soon, but you never know what I can miracle on a free evening once in a while. My internship is very interesting but taxing - at the moment I'm only still on 'clean up' duty for the Brendan feature film, but I hope to change this soon so I can really start animating ^_^

  • Hey, did I just hear "defended no-one" ?

from what movie was it again.. mask of the red death or something like that?

    Movie looks cool ^_^

  • Yes, that's the one! I found this amazing sample in a music track from Theatre of Tragedy. It was tantalizing! I went and bought that movie just to hear where it was from and what happened really. It was neat and not all that far off from what I had imagined in my animation ^_^

  • I know it from the song too :p And When He Falleth if I'm not mistaking.

How did you enjoy the Abunai-con?

  • It was good, but very taxing. I had just returned from my first week of my internship in Belgium and hadn't had enough sleep for days. I had to miss friday and the screening of my movie because of it, but that's the working world for you. I arrived saturday and immediately had to give a workshop which also was very tiring, but I do hope I gave the people there things they could use. It's still a little novel and scary for me. Maybe next year I'll be organizing an animation workshop ^_^

  • That's some gorgeous stuff you got there, really inspiring and promising!

  • Great work ^^ but i kind of miss a certain boogiesong in here :)

  • Hahaha! I'll be damned to not know the name behind that nick!

Yes, the boogie song should have been part of it, but, it's ancient and I can do so much better now ^_^ If you're attending Abunai you might get a chance to see it again, and the whopping 5 min movie which fragments are shown at the ending of the reel. ^_^

I should have more hours in a day so I one day can finally do a full version of the boogie song. It's too hilarious, not too. XD

  • Oh wait ^_^ seeing what's in *your* list, I suddenly have an inkling ;)

  • I have seen your recent work... damn girl... you got me impressed (even though I am not such a shounen-ai fan, I enjoyed every story you've written & drawed).

See you at the Abunai, I'll be there!

  • Thanks ;) I'll hope to construct a nice website too in the near future, so when it's done, I'll put up the link here.

  • You rock ^-^
