I think 2 280s would be better then 3 gtx 260s, or atleast equal, espeically because games dont have great scaling with 3 graphic cards.

@wollerauman you must be stupid...directX is not a reason for building a rig unless you are using a Geforce MX440 and you want to upgrade your PC. Also DX11 is useless right now beucase only a few games are DX11 and all of them are DX9/10 compatible.

get the quad if ur multi tasking or running alot of multithreaded applications

get the duo for gamming and if u dont need extra threads and cores for everday use

sweet I got my DS pc ordered, its kinda the same specs as yours, processor,and mb are the same,750w power ,i have mushkin ram tho if makes any different. umm was woundering what specs you came up with for your bios to reach the 4.0 mark, im having them oc it to stage 1 and im getting the frostbite cooler as well but im new to the oc so i was woundering if you knew of a good bios setup to start from to help me get up to the 4.0 mark. much help need here to a noob of oc.

setting the MHZ higher than standard. The Q9650 runs at 3.0 ghz at stock. His runs with 4.05ghz. But if you want the highest "overclockability" go for a dual core. My E8600 runs at 4.8 ghz at 1.42Vcore ;D
