I live north of Ocala snuggled up next to the national forest. We have had bears here forever and ever. I am shocked by the big city northerners who come down and are driven half insane by bears, frogs, raccoons, snakes, etc. Did you peoploe think all wildlife was slaughtered just to make room for you?

I love watching Florida black bears.. but they are still bears, if it were to come at you you would not be a happy camper.. the area around Orlando has a nuisance animal (incl bears) line, that works much better than yelling at it. I saw one smack a tree once, the result was something like using a sledge hammer on the tree.

Just a word to the wise....I've worked with a FL black bear near there (refuge) and even one that size would absolutely destroy you. I'd advise not to be so antagonistic next time.

Hey, nice footage.

I had a VERY close encounter with one of these bears right in your neck of the woods. He was about one foot away from me...I could've pet him, pretty damn crazy. He was much bigger. I think it was a she because she had a cub with her. I was lucky she didn't attack me. I scared her away..we both were shocked to run into each other I guess.

It was right in Condos near the Tennis club. Crazy
