I saw early New Order in a pre concert secret show in a small pub in Sydney in the early 80's ... stood about 6ft from Hooks bass cabinet and they played quite a lot of the Joy Div songs. Great gig and will always remember seeing these guys.

when they go from Leaders of Men to Insight....oh god, just beautiful, incredible music, Ian's lyrics completely draw me in, so honest and I feel with him, they were completely underrated, but I kind of liked that, it was like Joy Division was a rare beautiful secret

@noodle92993 definitely there was a vast development in their music. first they made songs like shadowplay and leaders of men then in 1980 they made songs like ceremony and twenty four hours which are just mindblowing. the thing is they were'nt music experts, but they managed to express their understanding and emotion through music and what they developed is just brilliant y'know.
