You guys did a good job with your RRG video series. Good for people who have never been there to get a feel for the place. At the point where you exit the cave, there's a steep trail. From there it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to get to the top for a great view of eagles peak. Cave is on Douglas trail.

I never went out that way. I always climbed up the water fall. First time was awesome because it was raining hard at night and no one in my group wanted to climb up,

Thanks for making it all the way through with me to the end. It's almost impossible to find on any map, and there is little to nothing about it online. I think it's just generally known as "the cave".

Very nice, I live about 60 miles from the RRG, have probably made 50 trips since high school, but have never been in the cave. Very well done!

Love this place, haven't been there in years.

Last time in that cave I had a friend with me who discovered he was claustrophobic. To make matters worse, his flashlight dies, and the bulb in mine pops when we are near the top of the vertical section, lol.

I had to take my flashlight apart in the dark to find the spare bulb and replace it. My friend was flaking out, I wasn't sure I'd even get him back down, so we ended up calling off that run and turning back once the light was back.

awesome vids. Im goin back to that cave this weekend, the gorge is one of the most beautiful places in Ky. Keep heading up that trail to check out eagles nest.
