  • Good interview...but honestly, I just want to see Ana and Alonya make out.

  • Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate AGAINST corporate personhood.

    watch?v=s-xFexgH76g

  • Thank you for posting this, TheAlonyaShow.

  • Remove corporate personhood and Citizens United won't even matter.

  • Washington will NOT fix this. The number of bought out politicians to honest politicians is 10 to 1. Wolf Pack is the only answer OR voting for Independent politicians who will not be warped by the DEM or GOP.

  • The second difficulty will be convincing the federal government to obey the constitution. They are currently ignoring much of it.

But if this passed, it would be the wardrums of revolution. Impossible to ignore.

  • Did ana kasparian get shot in the face then survive? It says here it happened /watch?v=etRjvrr4IIA

  • @inxyTrolls

    >inxyTrolls

    >Trolls

    seems legit

  • In thinking about this strategy, I find myself to be extremely pessimistic about its outcome. As noble as the effort is, I see it as being doomed to failure. The reason for this is simple: All the corporations need are 13 states out of our entire union in their back pocket to block such an amendment from becoming law. They already own the entire Federal government. How hard would it be for them to own 13 states?

  • LOL, with a $100 limit Ron Paul would win in fund raising by a land slide. He just has way more donors than any other candidate.

  • Campaign funds should only be allowed by US citizens capped at $100 at campaign rallys only! That way if the people want someone in office, the country will know based on funding. THEN it should be illegal for corporations to have anything to do with elections. Especially the cunts at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, AIG, ING, BIG PHARMA, DOJ, CIA ,FBI, FEMA, DHS and the White House. They will do anything to lobby politicians to sway laws and rules in their direction.

  • Should a corporation be considered a person?

Do they need clean air to breathe? No- therefore they care not about poluting.

Does it need a good paying job? No- It's only concern is to maximize profits.

Does it need affordable education? No-never needs to worry about student debt.

Can it be tried and punished for committing crime? No- just like it can't be beat and will never shed a drop of blood.

Does it have a conscience? Obviously not.

    Corporations: Clearly not people.

  • Wait-- Congress to be in control of Campaign finance? That's like having inmates in charge of the parole board...

  • I am Totally against a Constitutional Convention, that has been suggested. With a ConCon, The politicians can and will more then likely change the whole Constitution, They can remove the complete Bill of Rights, or change it to where we have no Protections from the Govt. as we have now. I can understand changing the definition of Person to exclude Corporations, and insuring that only Living Breathing Entities can donate to political campaigns.

  • If we allow Donations of any kind nothing will change. We also need to remove lobbyists and special interest groups and limit their contact with our politicians to open public forums.

  • unconditional love will save us in the end... no joke, that's the answer to all this fucked up shit going on in the world.

  • Public funding for elections! Get X amount of signatures for office Y receive specified cash. Congress takes 30% paycut and we pay them 2 years after their term, no other jobs, no lobbying, go do some nonprofit work, start a soup kitchen . We all chip in a couples buck a year for a real democracy and a better country.

  • Did Ana actually claim that never has 2/3 of both Houses of Congress approved an amendment? Of course, that's how all of the amendments came to pass plus several other potential amendments passed Congress but didn't get by the states (like the ERA). Pretty glaring error.

  • 2/3 rd of the states must call for a Constitutional Convention to put forth the amendment. Then 3/4 of states must ratify the amendment.

  • Holy shit, less retarded title, please. This is a piece of legislation and it's not even been voted on yet. "Overturned" refers to the judicial overturning of an existing court precedent, which is not likely to happen under even favorable circumstances and a complete change of faces on the bench over the next decade.

    Anyway, pwn commentary from Ana.

  • Anne and Alyona in the same video. Sexy overload! And informative too!

  • My only problem with a Constitutional Amendment is that you must have 75% of states approving. But most states are red states, and all that's going to happen is that the Koch Brothers and ALEC will just intercept state legislatures and kill it.

  • Keep up the good fight

  • the congress will decide how much money the congress gets in elections? yea that is a genius amendment. what morons.

  • Citizens United (CU) was not the first time corporations were recognized as persons. That happened more than a century prior.

BCRA should have been shot down as unconstitutional. Prior to CU, if Sierra Club got video of Rick Perry clubbing seals 29 days before the election, they would not be able to release it.

BCRA was a progressive means of helping the incumbents stay in power, by limiting free speech in the days people pay the most attention to the info circulating about candidates.

  • This proposed amendment Is WEEEEEEEAAAK, but it's better than nothing

  • TYT= turks, RT= russians. great! lol

  • TYT + RT = Awesome.

  • Why does Ana cover her tits for this show, but on TYT, she has them out, sitting on the desk? She looks so much more classy and professional here.

  • corporations should not be allowed to Fund and get advantage of the poor.

  • what? no fap jokes? did teh inturnetz died?

  • This is still a great sign. It means that people in Washington are starting to realize how hated they are and are trying to fix their image. It means we're getting popular opinion.

  • lol anna has cotton mouth lol

  • @Shonenut213 The volume will change and the ability to prosecute if corporations get caught.

  • @Shonenut213 but then it would be illegal

  • @Shonenut213 but then it will be illegal, officially

  • @Shonenut213 Public financing only. It will be fairly obvious if someone is using money from an outside source (Even their own money)

  • If we limited campaign contributions to $100, corporations with 1,000,000 employees would go back to their old way of doing things, donating $100 in the name of each of their employees. We have to devise a way of ending this practice.

  • @PompousPreacher what about making a law which demand that all the Funds to go an X organization and give all the candidates equal fund regardless of who.

  • @PompousPreacher yeah, but they've shipped all their jobs to china and india.and can you make a donation on somebody else's behalf, anyway?

  • @PompousPreacher this is why we have to say look corporation's are not people and therefore corporations can not donate to political campaigns and if your corporation is found donating to a political campaign you as CEO will be held responsible and we will ban you from political discourse and business for the rest of your life and if you try it again you are guilty of treason

  • @PompousPreacher make donations have to be directly from the individual. transparency is key

  • @PompousPreacher Ummm, we can just abolish money and just do what we were taught in kindergarten and by Barney the purple dinosaur, share.

  • @PompousPreacher if i worked for a corporation, and they donated money in my name without my concent, i would be furious. If they did so in the name of many not concenting, i would push for a class action law suit. That could be a way of ending that practice should the amendment pass.

  • A Constitutional Amendment isn't necessary, but it would allow the issue to go to the people, who overwhelmingly (I've seen as high as 82% in some polls) oppose corporate personhood. But just overriding the Supreme Court would be impossible with the number of politicians who have sold their souls and careers to corporate interests and want a fat donation.

  • "But, what are the chancesof an amendment actually going through?"

Hint: the answer rhymes with zero, and is spelled the same way.

  • @whatisahumans Going through Congress yes, going through the states? not necessarily

  • @whatisahumans

We don't have much of a choice, some of us just love our country that much.

  • we need some young people in congress.

  • @atripa645 We need ethical people, regardless of age.
