I feel sorry for, Ville , so beauty and talent with a amazing voice. If you to see some picture of him from 5or 4 years back you can see how he was beauty, and how his voice live was perfect . Now you see how he and his voice seems to be fragile probably cause of cigarretes. damn Marlboro. @babzville303 They did. They played Heartkiller and Disarm Me. he 'stupid Billy Idol song' is called Rebel Yell, I love their cover of it. And it's not Wicked Lies, it's Wicked Game. Also, it's a festival, they need to play things people know as well as the new stuff. That was what the tour was for.

I do know the song names, I was just being sarcastic, cuz I can't stand a band as talented and original as HIM doing covers of tired old songs....I love HIM, and I'm upset they are either ignored or hated by so many. Some call them a "cover band," which is an insult. I can't think of any respected band that does covers of common songs, I don't think it helps. A tour is for promoting (selling) the new release, they need to make money. I want them to succeed.

@babzville303 I've loved HIM for ten years, so believe me, I don't ignore them or hate them. Sorry, I really didn't get the sarcasm thing from what you said, I guess that was just me. I've never heard them called a cover band though. Lots of bands do covers from time to time, I've never thought less if a band for doing a cover. HIM have done what... Ten? Ish? in 20 years? Sorry, I'm not being a bitch, but I really don't begrudge them doing a mix of songs.

I just look at them from a different perspective (I've been involved w/ the music biz for many years.) When you think of their talent as musicians, and Ville as a songwriter and frontman, you have to wonder, what happened? I'm just looking at the marketing, who is the target audience, etc.

@babzville303 I don't think anything 'happened', I just think they're playing what they think a festival crowd would appreciate, if that makes sense. On a tour, you're playing to your own fans. At a festival, you're playing to your fans and whoever else decides to come along. The HIM fans will know everything they play. The other fans won't. Always best to have a cover to reach out to those who don't know their own songs. In my opnion.
