  • ummm can somebody help i need to learn PLZ REPLY

  • @mookyloop uhh if yr too scared to do it right away. try swinging and then when yr horizontal let go and land on yr back. to this about 5-10 times, so it builds yr confidence then afterward swing hard and do what HE^ said and u shud get it. (in foam pit of course) its how i learned but i just did it after i was confident. its really fun! =D

  • @Jenivera thank you sooo much i will soon learn how to do a flyaway

  • @daigaara he means when u to the back tuck u look at your knees

  • my coach always told me (when im doing my cast handstand layout half flyaway) just let go when you see your feet at a certain spot ! its always helped me!(:

  • just get high enough then let go and throw yourself back. I don't take lessons and I did it first try it's really easy once you get the courage. My friend did it first try and it was his first day.

  • What do you mean by see your knees? I can see my knees when I swing all the time????? Please elaborate????

  • @daigaara when he says that, he means to look at your knees and stay tight during the flyaway!

  • ...make it look so easy

  • @lovemypeepschick, i know, right?

  • I remember you . U were teaching the level 3s a flyway and i was there. :)

  • Flyaways with straight legs are much more prettier and easier (witch i can do ) :)

  • fyi, that was1 minute and 1 second, not one minute, you fail

  • That was a beautiful flyaway! And a great gymnastics minute, simple and helpful.

  • Since the legs need to remain straight to do a layout flyaway the cue is going to be to see the toes. However, since the greatest fear of anyone doing a flyaway is hitting the bar, the shoulders need to be stretched at the point of release. This can be facilitated by a complete relaxation of the shoulders at the bottom of the swing. From that point on the shoulders remain stretched to the release point.

  • @gymnasticoach Question. What else other than open shoulders can you do to get your flyaway moving away from the bar? I'm a coach and ex-gymnast though I still enjoy training. But the flyaway is a big weak point for me. Even when trying to keep my body straight shoulders stretched, I tend to be too close to the bar. I can get away further by using my shoulders to push away from the bar a second before letting go but its not a very smooth method.

  • yay! just in time for me, Im trying to learn this right now!

  • For layout I would say see your toes.

  • Does this work for a layout too or is there a different cue for a layout flyaway?
