It is the G fingering, but because of the capo, it's actually an A. So (ignoring the capo), D A G (descendo bass-thing to...) Em and finish on Bm. I'm not sure I remember the chords to the "snake for a pet part". Thank you for writing!

you're a very skilled musician... I couldn't even dream of strumming this whole song with those chords on a steel string. I bet the pick was completely shredded after this song. Pretty amazing stuff.

Thank you! I swear by Jim Dunlop nylon picks, size 0.6 mm. I never use any other pick. It has the flexibilty necessary for the back-and-forth strum I often use. I pinch it near the tip when I need the sound of a heavier gage pick. It also has a texture so it doesn't fly out of my fingers. I buy at least one of every pick made, just to make sure I'm not missing anything.
