My whole point is this: Faith in a all-powerful, all-knowing, God that is concerned about who you sleep with, what days you rest on, what you eat, how you have sex, proper dress, etc. is not the true basis of Western civilization. Compare the documents of this country to the writings of these deists and unbelievers. The very core of this country is free discourse, the very things that is abhorred by religion. How can you overlook commands to kill unbelievers (Deuteronomy 13:6-9) while also saying the Bible provides justification for separation of church and state? They are two sides of the same coin. I am free to worship (or not) as I wish and I am free FROM your faith and the doctrines therein as well. Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on truth or ethics. It should be one of many voices asking to be heard, but it should just be ONE of those voices.

I'm actually more of the opinion of "Inspiration", at least from my view of the spectrum. I started by asking "is there a God" for starters, then using science and philosophy came to the conclusion that, yeah, there's gotta be. And I figured out the Jesus stuff has got to be integral to God, if God is good. And he is.
That's the overview, my specific methodology took me a couple years to get through, I'm not sure how long it would be written out even concisely but more than 500 characters.

None were Deists, with Deism as defined as "The Clock Maker Theology". All espoused, except Paine, a belief in 'The Finger of God In Human Affairs', IE they could not be called Deists as we understand the word today. Jefferson called himself one in his own words, but using the term in reference to unorthodoxy as to the divinity of Christ. A simple example I can answer. Firstly the scripture was civic law by 'bone close necessity', and with this understanding you can see that the FEWEST OF ALL PEOPLES, had a great necessity to curb subversion, which was in effect, basically "Treason". It also bares noting that the people KNEW the law, and so there's no chance of woopsy daisies. Read Gill's Exposition on this excerpt. Its clear there is a trial, and requirement of witnesses or confession.
Laws stopped action far more than punished.

The reason I've not finished reading the Bible, is because anything I find in it, I STUDY, I use a "Parallel Bible" comparing translations, considering possible meanings, and look at the broader contexts. It's a private act and I encourage people to exercise this freedom if that want. Schools CANNOT endorse prayer nor can they require school time be set aside for prayer. The teacher can't *lead* a prayer, and you can't pray if you disrupt the teaching of classes....which is presumably the primary purpose of going to school. Also, this entire video is clearly two men reading from a prepared script. Why is this?

No you can pray in SOME schools others don't allow it at all. Just because ppl around you are remotely sane doesn't mean insanity is a myth.
Because they are. This is the interview segment (3rd hour) which is either prerecorded or at least "Scripted", I'm sure savage writes his own script, as he sometimes lapses into reading prepared notes during segments (and mentions them) I don't know about you but I, like most orators of history can't remember entire monologues without notes or script.
