I am willing to bet the arpeggios starting at around 6:30 were Matt's doing, seeing as they have a lot of arpeggios in most of the stuff Muse does. Just a hunch!
The string arrangements do sound quite similiar to that in BHaR, but there defiantely is a strong absolution influence (butterfiles and hurricanes, falling away with you) the more I listen to it. The International soundtrack lists Tom Tykwer, Johnny Klimek, Reinhold Heil and Matthew Bellamy as composers so we really don't know how much of it was composed and arranged by Matt. I've listened to it now stop from yesterday and I like what I hear, can't wait for the next album in autumn
Erm... no all we know is that it Matt Bellamy was involved in composing it. It sounds quite similiar to the songs on Black Holes and Revelations so it was probably composed (at least partially) around that time.
Hmm I actually doubt that this is from BH&R, he said he has been working on a "Symphonic Monster" for quite some time and is hoping to get it out by the next album. I wouldn't necessarily jump to conclusions by saying that this is from that, but it certainly seems like work that was done more recently doesn't really sound like BH&R any more than absolution tbh.
what the fuckk...
