The idea of an intelligent force expanding the universe from a central point makes much more sense from a pantheistic perspective than a theistic one. Hmm. Maybe Einstein was smarter than Turek.
just for the record, as a student of Religious Studies AND Biological Sciences, the Bible (the original BIBLE) does not necessarily say ex nihilo, that is out of nothing for those non-latin lovers. The words can be translated as Out of Chaos meaning there was something, we just don't know. Also, it irritates me, as a Christian (I'm a baptist, generally the biggest sticklers to the Bible), to have our own arguments just be little cute jokes about huge problems, ideas, and thoughts.
I didn't see any evidence provided for God, Allah, Zues, or any other man-made diety. I only saw a "motivational speaker"- type of con-man directing his nonsense to a bunch of scientific illiterates at a fundamentalist church in an effort to sell his book.
So...his whole point is it makes no sense that the universe came from nothing...But it makes perfect sense for a God who never came from anything to make it from nothing....what?!
How could there be no space or time before the big bang?
Dividing by zero may not be possible, but one can certainly take the limit of a rational function as the denominator approaches zero, which is something that is taught in Calculus.
Victor, you have been shown the science over and over, your little word games mean nothing and you know it!! What do you call someone that repeats untruths, Victor?
@FindingTruthToday I actually thought of it myself before being told. I don't have any proof for it, but the concept isn't too far fetched (assuming the big bang is true, which in all likelihood is the case).
I just don't see how you can expect evidence of certain theories whilst simultaneously requiring none for your beliefs. There is no evidence of a worldwide flood during the time of modern humans and no doubt that God didn't give people different languages to prevent a tower to heaven...
@Thatguywithlogic Per you statement; “I just don't see how you can expect evidence of certain theories whilst simultaneously requiring none for your beliefs” I take it you didn’t watch the video which these comments are attached…In the video Frank outlines clearly evidence supporting the Biblical account of creation. You then go on a“thought” of your own just because you choose to not use Occam's razor on your “thought.” Why would anyone think Noah’s flood true? youtube.co m/watch?v=_9Pr08bp8-I
Victor, you said "Frank outlines clearly evidence supporting the Biblical account of creation."
Victor, Frank Turek is a motivational speaker selling a pseudoscience books of half-truths and incorrect assumptions. He is not a member of the scientific community, he is a evangelical huckster selling books.
TOOT TOOT, DON'T LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR TROLLING VICTOR, KEEP PLAYING THAT KAZOO!!
@FindingTruthToday Basically, I'm saying holding double-standards is childish. That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence, and while this certainly has been the downfall of many theories, it has unfortunately, as of yet, had no impact on religion.
@Thatguywithlogic If you are “saying holding double-standards is childish” and “that which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence” why don’t you dismiss your “thought” of multiple universes as you said that you merely “thought” of it and have no evidence for it?
Frank in this video clearly outlines supporting evidence for the Biblical account of creation. Yet you have none for your “multiple universe” “thought.”
@FindingTruthToday Evidence against one thing, or lack of evidence for one thing, is NOT evidence for another. As far as the multiple big bang theory, no I don't have evidence for it and I admit that. but whether or not it is true is irrelevant. As of now I don't blame you for dismissing it.
I simply have a hard time understanding how anybody can say the big bang makes no sense without a creator, but that the creator does not need to have been created or follow any of the laws of physics
@Thatguywithlogic We know from the Big Bang that the universe had a beginning. We know that everything that has a beginning, has a cause associated with it. Something just doesn’t happen unless someone or something causes it to happen. Nothing can do nothing on its own. Something cannot create itself. Thus, the universe didn’t create itself out of nothing therefore something did it. The Bible says that God did it.
@Thatguywithlogic The multiple universe story doesn’t help anything because again, something cannot create itself and nothing can do nothing on its own.
@FindingTruthToday On a side note, have you ever wondered why religions offering eternal life after death are so much more popular than those that do not?
If you believe the Biblical story, beyond God creating matter and nothing more, you are simply disillusioned. There is empirical evidence that humans evolved from a common ancestor we share with great apes. I can provide links if you would like.
Fun fact, in the Bible God created plants before he made ANY light producing masses.
@Thatguywithlogic God in the Bible teaches against religions because religion separates us from Him. The only “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this : to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”James 1:27
It takes circular reasoning to think that humans evolved from great apes. DNA evidence from the Human Genome Project confirms Biblical history of mankind being of one race and destroys Darwinism’s multiple races.
Victor, you wrote, "DNA evidence from the Human Genome Project confirms Biblical history of mankind being of one race and destroys Darwinism’s multiple races."
HGP clearly illustrates the age of Homo Sapiens to be about 200,000 years old, you are lying again Victor, it contradicts your bible and you know it.
VICTOR YOU LIE, KNOW YOU LIE, AND DO NOT CARE. PLAY THAT KAZOO MAN!! TOOT, TOOT!!!
@Thatguywithlogic “Here is the message we have heard from Christ and now announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5 NCV
Fun fact; it gets dark at night in most locations where plants exist and in some locations darkness lasts more than 24 hours.
@Thatguywithlogic A plant can live without light for a measly 24-48 hours bro; electrons were present, and the text reveals that there WAS a light producing "fixated source" ;)
@Thatguywithlogic Nice try? You ignored the last part of my sentence. Also, dude, I asked that you send me a PM, I'm done littering on this man's YouTube page, your arguments aren't that sound...mate.
@DeutschNinjaTanuki You have absolutely no evidence or arguments for your God. Stop holding double standards. Good day (and no, you didn't ask that I send you a PM and frankly I don't care either way, you're beyond reason).
You are misrepresenting the Big Bang. The Big Bang presupposes an initial state of highly compressed matter. This model seems to describe well what we see and various things associated.
You need to indicate this fact on your video or remove it - assuming factual integrity means anything...
its logically facile to posit something particular before the big bang.there maybe a creator or creators and so on to an infinite regression.its patently absurd to to say you know the nature of the creator and the nature of its expectations of us all the way down to eating fish on fridays and putting your willie here or there-this is where ideology and tyranny begins..where one man thinks there is a correct way to do something and is prepared to impose that view on others.PISS OF RELIGIOUS !
Who banged God?? This assume that God is like the physical Universe which has a beginning. But all things physical started somehow at one point. You cant include God cos aint physical matter
@Vainslain you wrote "But all things physical started somehow at one point. You cant include God cos aint physical matter"
You wrote that but are unable to provide any evidence that it is true. Your statement is not falsifiable, but you had nothing that indicates that it make any sense to make the statement in the first place. It is a stupid thing to say.
Cosmological argument is the worst argument ever. What is an example of something else besides the universe that can be demonstrated to begin to exist by a supernatural cause?
If Scientists did claim to know what happened before the Big Bang, they would need empirical evidence. Just because they don't have that type of evidence doesn't mean they never will. It's called learning...
What this guy is proving is that "the big bang" doesn't go against the teachings of the bible AT ALL. If anything it just backs it up. I am the "alpha and the omega" the beginning and the end. god always existed before the universe but the universe didn't always exist. So there is still a great "REASON" to believe that the bible is true, it still hasn't been refuted. You do "CLAIM" that there is "no God" even though you "don't CLAIM" to know what existed before the big bang.
So YES, "SCIENCE" does NOT claim to know what existed before the big bang, but "PEOPLE" do such as YOU and other scientists(christian or not.) If you say, "there is no God" you are "assuming" something, just as you would claim the Christians are "assuming" something. And this guy says, "Einstein" wasn't a Christian, that is true, but he still accepted "the way" of Christ. Maybe not as a man who died on the cross and is watching down on us, but what he preached while still alive.
@DoNotBeHighandMighty I don't assume anything. I've never said to know what existed before the big bang, ass. I guess you've never read the Bible, either that or your reading comprehension isn't too great considering the Genesis account has NOTHING to do with how things actually happened. Einstein accepted the way of christ? I believe he would disagree. And what way of christ? The part where he tells slaves to obey their masters? Or the hate your family part? Or turn the other cheek?
The story of Adam and Eve is about falling to lower consciousness through "sin(indulging in sense pleasures)" which keeps you trapped in the highs and lows of lower awareness. Why do you think they call it the "tree of the knowledge of GOOD and EVIL." Now you need to know what duality is and have gone beyond it in order to understand that "good and evil" don't exist as a "truth." But Jesus has a "standard" to live by that gets you back to higher states and stay there.
@TBucker When asked if Einstein accepted the historical existence of Jesus, Einstein replied with: "Unquestionably! No one can read the gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life."
Wrong, wrong, wrong gobshite. Einstein knew in his own lifetime that much of his work was flawed. As for who was the smartest man who ever lived, your readiness to believe in fairy stories disqualifies you from judging.
@DoNotBeHighandMighty SMartest man who ever lived? If it was Einstein, you're wrong, he did not think Jesus was the son of god, because he did not believe in a god. Hawking? Nope. So i don't get it.

hey, what's 1+1? Is it

well it's not 3 or 4, therefore by your logic, 1+1=5 because its not x or y, therefore z. Idiot.
