  • not bad, give it 6/10.

After all, he doesn't have the correct hair and definately not the nose !

Jim would have cut that nose off with an empty whiskey bottle...

That's speaking from experience... jammed with Robby once, told me ' You have his edge and rawness' nice compliment.

  • holy shit, i like it

  • Great job. I love it.

  • I suppose this is Jimmy Page covering The Doors :D

  • :D

  • a la verg.a

  • They are good. that's all.

  • how did he steal the Morrison's voice??

  • I dont like cover bands

  • @jose1camarena I dont like you

  • @hardyboyzrko maybe i can grow on you

  • @jose1camarena Maybe cover bands could grow on you

  • @hardyboyzrko like a tumor u wanna get rid of

  • @jose1camarena YOU must be seriously retarded, so I will go easy. this fucktard doesnt understand that to go down to your local Pub and hear a band playing covers is OK, but prefers to go down and listen to jose1 sing some original stuff that that no fucker can relate to

  • @hardyboyzrko o no thats cool to play at ur local bar. but to make big money and play on shows like the one we are watching, is just mooching on other peoples success and hard work. don't you agree?

  • He sounds more Like Jim Then Ian Astbury. I saw these years ago. They were Very good. I also saw The Doors with Ian Astbury (think Ive spelt his name wrong) doing the singin but they were totaly shit.

  • seen them in newcastle, england when i was at uni, they were pretty great.

  • Hung with these guys (and girl) in G-town a few times...cheers guys. Can any of you eat yoghurt and drive at the same time yet?

  • i saw these guys at the Roadmender Northampton and they were great, i heard they retired does anyone know if they are still going?

  • They sound great! The only bad I could say is that the drummer is not on the same level as the other guys. The Stairway to Heaven video really impressed me!

  • OK ish but not a patch on The Doors Alive !

  • Saw these guys several times many years ago n' they were brilliant. The show transported me...the shows were truly joyous occassions. So far as tribute bands go, these guys wer as good as it gets.

  • these are nothing like the doors.. he is nothing and cant sing like jim

  • Saw these at sheffield octagon, still got the tour t shirt. Dam good. Long live jim. The lizard king.

  • saw the australian doors back in the early 90s in wolverhampton civic hall when i just started to get in to the doors ,it was the first live band i ever saw and they where great, now i am very lucky to have a rehersal room and a doors cover band of my own , we play ever week , but only for our own kicks , we have been together now 13 years . and its still just as good as when we first started , any one near wolverhampton who can play any doors tunes is very welcome

  • Saw these a few times, pretty good but the best time was under the influence of a certain local delicacy here in Wales!

  • I had the pleasure of seeing these guys several times in the mid 90s in various Sydney venues. Best pub act I ever saw. As another post mentioned, they also called themselves The Game Show Hippies and played gigs at the Bridge Hotel in Rozelle. They even had a third identity as The Trip. Vocalist Steve Griffiths sounds startlingly like Jim Morrison.

  • oh he sounds alot like jim but damn he dont looklike him at all

  • saw them a few times in Leeds in the 90s.....top gigs

  • A very credible tribute to the Doors, The Australian Doors Show gigs were great with 60's style lighting and effects and spot on sound. Their rendition of 'Stairway to Heaven' on Andrew Denton's TV show 'The Money or the Gun' fired up much controversy among the Doors fans on YouTube. It never was the Doors, just The Aussie Doors doing a great job.

  • great take.

  • These guys were about as good as you could get!!! I went to heaps of their gigs in S.E. Queensland. Vocalist, Steve (AKA Biggles) was mostly great, but in Morrison style, would drift from the studio sound to Hmmm.... Towards the end, they also called themselves GSH (Game Show Hippies) I don't know how long they lasted, but as The Australian Doors......they were about as good as it gets....Thanks for the memories guys..

  • yes i saw these in wolverhampton civil hall a few times very good

  • We saw the Aussie Doors in Glasgow in the 90s - fab show!!

  • @lmelville1972 - me too, many gigs at the Barras.. they were so good it was uncanny and quite spooky really!
