I lot of those before pics were obviously due to tanning, the after pictures were pics with no tans. My skin is fairly light in the winter and darker in the summer. I don't bleach my skin.

Some of them are just wearing dark makeup...tyra banks, solange, rihanna, etc. if you look them up as a kid they were always light. And it also has to do with the lighting, and climate.
If you stay in New York during the winter your DEFINITELY gonna come back lighter, if you stay in Egypt for the summer your gonna come back darker. My skin color goes up and down and all around, but i don't bleach. And also in photo shoots there are like 50 bright lights on you your obviously gonna look lighter.

@markee871 It's not a matter of "tried it." We are talking about "perception" here. Sure a camera will never hide whether somewhat is white or black or something... But still photography can be very biased; video probably less so. Cause show a picture with/without flash next to each other, most people would "perceive" the flash photo as "lighter" toned skin. And the settings the camera decided during the photo... It's a technical thing, but you could make yourself look "lighter" with lighting.

I can guarantee that people viewing those 3 photos of the same person will perceive different "darknesses" of skin tone even though they were the same person. I've come out darker or lighter on pictures because of lighting. I once heard Oprah say she only used a certain lighting director because he really knew how to light black people. Well you can not say they bleach with certitude (with some exceptions where it is, too obvious) because they're darker on some pictures. Don't forget that black people tan too! So if you usually live in florida and move to NY for example, you will loose some tan as a black person and vice versa.

I believe that yes some of them do skin bleaching. But some of these are just because of different types of cameras. I didn't know Tyra had a nose job. She they main one on her show talking about how sad other people are and how they should just love themselves.

I lot of those before pics were obviously due to tanning, the after pictures were pics with no tans. My skin is fairly light in the winter and darker in the summer. I don't bleach my skin.

Some of them are just wearing dark makeup...tyra banks, solange, rihanna, etc. if you look them up as a kid they were always light. And it also has to do with the lighting, and climate.
If you stay in New York during the winter your DEFINITELY gonna come back lighter, if you stay in Egypt for the summer your gonna come back darker. My skin color goes up and down and all around, but i don't bleach. And also in photo shoots there are like 50 bright lights on you your obviously gonna look lighter.

@markee871 It's not a matter of "tried it." We are talking about "perception" here. Sure a camera will never hide whether somewhat is white or black or something... But still photography can be very biased; video probably less so. Cause show a picture with/without flash next to each other, most people would "perceive" the flash photo as "lighter" toned skin. And the settings the camera decided during the photo... It's a technical thing, but you could make yourself look "lighter" with lighting.

I can guarantee that people viewing those 3 photos of the same person will perceive different "darknesses" of skin tone even though they were the same person. you know there's this thing called photo editing and it also depends on the lighting people are standing in don't forget about seasons people get darker over the summer and lighter during winter so just because someone looks a little lighter in one photo than another doesn't necessarily mean there skin lightening and its dumb of people to just assume it and if they do thats their own busness who cares? i mean black people asian idians and white people all change their skin tones its nothing new

there are many factors to consider in these pictures like lighting and tans. climate that these people live in, what season is it. people get tans you know. i got one right now, if i lost this tan and went back to my normal color, would you people accuse me of trying to bleach my skin?

Well you can not say they bleach with certitude (with some exceptions where it is, too obvious) because they're darker on some pictures. Don't forget that black people tan too! So if you usually live in florida and move to NY for example, you will loose some tan as a black person and vice versa.

I believe that yes some of them do skin bleaching. But some of these are just because of different types of cameras. I didn't know Tyra had a nose job. She they main one on her show talking about how sad other people are and how they should just love themselves.

Ok I thought it was just me too. U can't say that they bleach their skin without being around them 24/7. I am naturally a light skinned black young lady and sometimes especially in the winter I am lighter. I've had people ask me do I bleach my skin and I tell them no!!!! When the summer rolls around and I'm in the sun a lot I get darker so it's really not fair to say that. Plus specifically in that picture of Garcelle, u can clearly see her bra tan line, so that voids your theory.
