Ive often wondered if Eric Johnson is gay........who knows ......Well Gretchen is certainly gifted , this was rather beautifully phrased and its memorable which is rare for guitar instrumental music , the majority of which I tired from years ago, Ill have to pick this up !
Hmmm, the intro sounds more like Steve Morse's "User Friendly" from the Coast to Coast album to me - pretty sure Gretchen is a fan of Steve's too! Then again, who wouldn't be! Either way, I like this...
I was really appreciating the musicianship etc. until i saw this video. I am no longer a fan. Stick to musician ship and leave the sex sells and crazy stuff out.
Gretchen, your great in so many ways. It went from me just watching a video of Zepperella because I'm a Harmonica player and my brother told me about the performance of "When The Levee Breaks". I liked the harp. But it was your playing that I loved. One thing led to another, and I researched you a little. And liked everything about you. As far as influences, and of course your playing. You have a new fan. And I look forward to seeing you in person. You gave the Music World a great new gift.
Major Kudos to Gretchen for being a motogp fan ! Even more kudos for writing a song for Valentino or inspired by him. Cool cool chick ! Great song too. i like it !
Good to see you playing something other then that god awful les paul :p (I hate Les Pauls, subjective opinion, I know). What made you decide on a Silo? Figured youd go after the Axis instead O.o
Cool song, Can hear a lot of steve morse and even some satriani in some spots, very cool.
Hey Gretchen love it how people are finding so many great guitar players in your playing. Which is absolutely fantastic :) Your style is your own indeed and I can see a lot of inspirations in your playing as well :) keep up the fantastic work. I shall certainly get your record when it comes out :)
I hear a little Steve Morse, a little Eric Johnson, but it's definitely an original work. I'm adding Gretchen's CD to my collection ASAP and will definitely catch her on tour. Not even counting her stunning good looks, she deserves all the accolades she's earned and more!
Nice work Gretchen! Great guitar riffs and fun video. Dario Sycco turned me on to your video since I'm an instrumental guitarist as well. FANTASTIC to see a woman rocking the instrumental genre!! My favorite guitarists are ones that know exactly where they are going on every solo, on every note, and are executing with accuracy and passion and you-are-nailing-it! Keep making the great tunes ;-) -Tommy Merry
Somehow I see an instrumental duet with Jeff Beck in your future! I can see Beck digging your playing and this tune a lot. It has a Jeff Beck kind of feel to it.
I'm excited about your new solo album and your the momentum you are generating with your various musical projects. I just have to ask one question . How much it costs to produce a video of this caliber these days? Costume changes, various guys admiring you. Anyway, Gretchen, thanks for being such a great gal and a supportive musician and inspiration to so many musicians. Need a favor in Birmingham, AL, you've got it. Keep up the good work.
Wow, that was quite a trip. It leaves me with a lot of questions: like who are these guys, and why doesn't Gretchen seem to mind what they're doing to her? Who is Valentino? I guess it's doing what a music video is supposed to do - get you to watch it over and over, thus hearing the song multiple times. The sound is very distictively Gretchen, beautifully performed. I love the sexy outfits too!
Wow! Great instrumental! & holly cow...We all always thought of you as Angelic...I really like watching this video...more so since we've been friends for 8 years now. It's good to see you doing SO well with what you love to do! Hopefully I'll see you soon...Kinda creepy seeing you with that doctor guy instead of Jim though! LOL. Miss you, Dion
Excited... Happy... Proud... These words only *BEGIN* to describe how I'm feeling for you!!! I can only imagine how YOU feel right now?! Congratulations, my Dear... It's perfect! You are simply a BADASS!!!
