I fail to see how the rich being happy because money has bought them security and social standing has any real implication in the world, other than those who are given the unequal share of wealth will continue to live 'good' lives, this doesn't address any real issues of substance and in many cases counter to what they are saying goes on to reinforce what other economists enviromentalists and sociologists are saying about the links between wealth inequality and happiness.
