  • Using a black car with no front lights or license plate and no flat front?? I love my blinders but I have to agree, this was a bit of a cheap shot.

  • they used the exact method where im from too, was common to see two cars pulled over in the area.i think the local people complained because they dont do it anymore.

  • The Blinder system does not work well. I can guarantee you that from professional testing. Check out the Laser Interceptor for a very effective countermeasure against all Police Laser Guns. As for radar, the Valentine V1 is the best on the market followed by the Escort 9500ix and Redline.

  • pause at 1:15

if cops was that sexy i wouldn't mind getting pulled over

but since theres no sexy cops i will be buying the laser jammer because it tells you when there clocking you so you do have time to turn it off and then slow down so he can clock you

  • I live in California and have had my fair share of speeding tickets, I contimplated buying a Jammer and asked a friend of mine who is a police officer about the purchase and advised against it, he said think common sense, you are on a traffic post and you have been getting readings all day long and now this one car goes by and you can't get a reading on it??? He said at least here in CA that it gives him probable cause to pull you over and check you out anyways.

  • They don't know jack shit about it, think about it the CHP is that asshole that dropped out of your high school. Sorry to all the pigs out there who want to think better but seriously speeding is a non-issue in CA with a V1 and a good jammer.

Do yourself a favor and buy one. If you have one, you know when you're being lasered, you hit the brakes and switch the jammer off. Worst case is you lose the jammer and get a non-point citation - less expensive than ticket + insurance combined.

  • @KG6NLB well you are able to slow down and turn it off first and then let him clock you

which will make him just think it was jammed for a few seconds

  • can i just ask, is this product highly illegal and wouldnt it be really easy to get cause if they cop is radaring you and he isnt getting any speed reading?

  • probably. if you are going like 85 and everyone else is 65 you will get in trouble. the corvette is going the same speed as others.

  • The test vehicle doesn't have a front plate. The reflective surface in the front plate increases the reflection of the laser 1000 times. I'd like to see the same video with a front plate on.

That said, you could probably destroy the reflective surface by sanding it.

  • I installed mine in my car. IT WORKS. I've been zapped about 15 times so far, no ticket. I got stopped but they never gave me a ticket, they did not have my speed.

  • The cops in the white CVPIs doing the laser trapped looked like Allen Police Department. Wouldn't surprise me they would set up an elaborate speed trap operation.

  • I live in Allen. Those are the Allen police. The guy on the bridge at the beginning is Chief Rushing. I'm definitely not surprised they did this mainly because I see them do the traps all the time. A couple weeks ago they had a pickup truck parked on the sidewalk on Allen drive with a cop sitting in the passenger seat radaring all the people northbound on 75 and calling it ahead to 6 cops sitting on the feeder under the exchange overpass

  • Yeah, it's kind of pathetic actually. I live in Plano and sometimes Plano cops do that, but not too much anymore as they actually started having real crimes. Guess Allen doesn't .. yet.

  • Ya. With the new malls going up on Stacy RD and Market street almost finishing its condo's the city is growing pretty quickly now. I highly doubt they will cut down on the traffic police operations though mainly because they make so much off of it. The write an average of 20,500 tickets per year so why cut down on the revenue when they can just hire more police. Dallas just gave us their extra grant money so the police went out and bought new chargers, tahoes, and crown victorias last month.

  • Dallas giving away money? woah! Dallas PD is one of the few police departments in North Texas who need extra money to get new equipment and officers! In the morning, McDermott is a royal pain in the ass with then Allen PD camping it. One of the stop lights up there has a "No right turn on red" sign obscured by some trees, but a few cops sit up at the 7-11 by the Lowes and pull almost everyone over who takes the right turn on red. Such BS. Such a shame Allen PD gives police a bad name doing this.

  • Ya. My friends dad works the Dallas police so he's the one who told us. Your talking about the Watters Rd and McDermott Intersection. Ya it's pretty pathetic. There is a reason I have a beltronics i965 and an escort 9500ix. One of my friends has gotten a ticket for 32 in a 30 in allen He even showed me the ticket since i didn't believe him. I'm debating about getting one of these since 3 of our blacked out chargers have laser in them but I'm worried about them making them illegal so i lose 679

  • I considered getting a laser jammer since most Plano & Allen cops use laser now since they can afford them, but I go the speed limit most of the time. It's just these other BS moving violations that you can't prevent which pisses me off. I doubt they'd make them illegal now, since they're pretty popular. Oh well, you know, I'm not against tickets and stuff, but Allen really abuses it for money making. I plan on applying to be a Texas DPS trooper sometime, and never would be like these guys lol.

  • Ya. I have no problem with the police, I can say they are a good crime deterrent because they are so present in the city but it just gets annoying how ridiculously strictly they are. What annoys me most though is they they target teenagers and I'm willing to bet the school works with them because our parking permits are always bright colors and we have to put them at a certain spot. Last year they were bright red. Every morning there are motorcycle cops on the street leading into the school.

  • Same in Plano. They line up outside of the schools and just sit there. It annoys me, but then again, I know a lot of shitty drivers that I would love to see get a ticket. Sort of a bad thing and a good thing lol. It's ridiculous, but what can you do? lol. Police definitely do pick on teens a lot, because not a lot of people know their rights and stuff. It's a shame.

  • I'm the only one out of my normal group of friends that hasn't gotten a ticket just because of my radar detectors. Everyone in my family has at least one for more of a precaution to keep alert, it can be pretty easy to go a few over and not even realize it until a cop sees you, then it's too late to slow down. I don't use it as a reason to speed, I rarely do more than 5 over. I'm going to order the veil for now and if that doesn't prove to work(only 1 way to know), then i'll get this

  • I finally broke down and ordered the M45 along with a second radar detector for my car: Beltronics STI-R. Wednesday my friend got pulled over on exchange and got a ticket for 42 in a 40 so that finally sent me over the edge to get it as a form of security and to piss the cops off even more seeing as they hate radar detectors and they will hate something that won't let them get my speed if they are using laser even more.

  • What exchange was this?

  • West exchange, almost to the Alma intersection.

  • This is true to some extent however, laser isn't an RF device. RF devices are indeed against the law in all states and is backed by the Fed's. A K55 radar and other's can do the same thing and isn't against the law to use because the salesmen for them openly use them to show they're features, etc. SC Law States: any device used to deliberately interfere with reading ones speed is illegal. This was explained to me by a SLED Officer.I thought this might help out. Have a great day.

  • This device is illegal too. If you cant get the speed while having a bead on the car then you can pull the car over anyway. Then you get to go to jail for using an illegal device instead of just a speeding ticket. WAY TO GO!

  • It's not illegal to jam lasers, it's only illegal to jam radar.

  • @imanidiot911truther It depends on the state.

  • The K55 Radar according to SC SLED isn't against the law to have and or use in your vehicles UNLESS you play cop and try to STOP people. Impersonation would be the charge then. In order to jam another radar it would have to be in the very same band AND very near the same frequency and be within a 1/4 mile or less to even have a half way chance of jamming it. Even in a SC court evidence would have to show within a reasonable doubt the jamming was intentional and prove a radar unit is illegal.

  • Bullshit, superteckmp.

  • Keep in mind, once you get lasered and the alarm is loud, look at your speed, slow to the limit and turn off so he can get a reading and make him think you don't have a jammer.

  • Hahhhhhh and you think that that works?

  • Well ladies and gents, see my opinion under superteckmp. I have purchased the laser blinder, installed it on my 2007 VW Passat and let me tell you. IT WORKS!!!

I have cops waiting at the same spot everyday to catch speeders and almost everyday, (when they are not writing a ticket) I get lasered, and my jammer blinds them everytime. I even see them knocking on the box asking themselve if the LIDAR is working. They simply got jammed!

  • @superteckmp can you turn off the jammer and let them clock you oned you slowed down???

  • Notice how the Vette doesn't have a front plate. That makes a big diffrence.

  • Just an FYI, but Laser Jammers are NOT regulated by the FCC. They are regulated by the FDA (food and drug administration) and are not illegal in all states.

States that ban all radar detectors generally ban laser jammers like california, utah and oklahoma.

  • FDA? please site your sources captain genius.

  • Radar detectors are legal in Oklahoma. Radar JAMMERS are illegal in Oklahoma - as are Laser jammers. Radar/Laser detectors are 100% legal, though. I'm sure best buy wouldn't sell them here if they weren't. =D

  • bstice is correct. Bewrenched do your homework before you start spreading bullshit

  • Jammers are illegal. They are illegal in all states because they are a emmisions device like a radio transmitter. They are governed by part 47 of the FCC regs. Jammers are considered a emitter and because they are designed to interfer with legal emmisions devices, they are illegal in all states, independant of whether the state has a law against them or not. Punishable by up to a $11,000 fine per offense and/or spend up to a year in jail. And that is on top of whatever the state gives you.

  • if the schmuck holding the gun is different than the arresting officer, they both have to show up, or you can get it dismissed.

  • i get the feeling a cop would pull you over just for jamming their gun

  • you are supposed to slow down to the limit once you know you are being targeted (an alarm goes off in the car) and then reset the jammer to let him get a reading of you going the speed limit

  • I have actually tested the M-25 and M-45, with my Pro Laser II and two officers I know who shoot laser everyday. The M-25/M-45 jammed every laser gun everytime. Both of my officer friends were so amazed, they actually purchased a M-25 laser jammer. I love mine, and it has saved me a number of times. Thanks Blinder for such a awesome product. :)

    Georgia Boy

  • Too bad the Pro Laser II is outdated and not even approved for use in most states now. I have personally seen a Pro Laser III punch through the blinder system more than once. Blinder needs to update.

  • Actually, the Pro laser II is one of the hardest laser guns to jam. It was designed by laser atlanta not kustoms. Kustoms designed the Pro laser III which is the easiest to jam.. Learn your laser guns before your answer.. Go to guysoflidar and you will see on their website that the pro laser II, due to very good optics is the hardest to jam!!!

    GB

  • No cop would ever purchase a laser jammer because their shield/ID is a ticket jammer

  • I think superteckmp makes a good point. So basically just get a turbo kit in there, that little crown vic will never catch up. >:]

  • They used the hardest car to get the speed from. NO GOOD. I am an LASER INSTRUCTOR!!! This car had no headlights and no front plate, this is what we target to get your speed. Next time used a car with big headlights and a front plate, then show us if it really works! Loosers!

  • I agree, I would like to see it on a big ford F350 pickup

  • @superteckmp

Agreed. At a minimum, they should have shown the Vette with the jammers turned off, and showed it with and without at same distance.

  • almost as much as you do ;)

  • who the fuck uses blinder anymore. they suck
