  • @GrandmotherAbuser This is something any servant of Satan would say. You people are everywhere and seem to hate your lives! I'll pray for you.

  • Mormon women may outnumber men in Utah, but the recent study published by Trinity College did not prove it, says Adam Brown, a research fellow with Brigham Young University's Center for the Student of Elections and Democracy.

The study, described in Thursday's Salt Lake Tribune, reported that in 1990 there was a surplus of women among Mormons outside of Utah, but by 2008 "a dramatic shift had occurred," and LDS females now "outnumber males in Utah 3 to 2."

  • Brown, writing at Utah Data Points, says that claim cannot be substantiated by the study's data. The sample size -- 270 -- is too small, making the margin of error too large.

  • "I think the most touching part of the Nativity is the Nativity itself, in the stable at the birth of Christ," said Savannah Stevenson, who plays Mary. "And when the shepherds come and visit her is this beautiful moment, which I hope the film captures, where they come to worship Christ. It's really moving, so amazing to be in that scene, a scene that you read about in the scriptures and have read about for years. To actually play my part in that is really incredible."

  • The Church has produced a video with several of these actors talking about what it was like to be a part of the Nativity scenes.

  • Bernice Payne introduced Professor Fred E. Woods of Brigham Young University from the Department of Church History. She said, Dr. Woods has lectured nationally, internationally and is the author of several books and articles. He is the editor and compiler of the Mormon migration website, which was modified and upgraded in 2010. Bernice said, "This is a fantastic website and I use it frequently in the research that I do. • Daniel Sorensen left Brigham Young University as a linebacker.

He returned as a safety -- and as a changed individual.

Like so many athletes at the Provo, Utah, school, Sorensen -- a graduate of Colton High who will play in Friday's Armed Forces Bowl against Tulsa -- took a two-year break between his freshman and sophomore seasons to serve a religious mission for the Church of Latter-Day Saints. In his case, the mission was to Costa Rica.

  • Long lost gable to be replaced at 121-year-old Oneida Stake Academy building

    Published: Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 5:00 a.m. MST

By Necia Seamons, For the Deseret News

  • RESTON, Idaho -- Crews were at the Oneida Stake Academy on Friday, Dec. 9, preparing to install a stone gable to replace the original that fell off the building in 1962.

According to Keith Mackay, owner of State Stone, the process being used to restore the gable is the same process used in the construction of the current Nauvoo Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to repair the Utah State Capitol building.

  • Notwithstanding our desire to spend Christmas with our families who lived in Cardston, just across the border into Alberta, we had previously determined that this year we would start a new Christmas tradition and celebrate Christmas in our own home, just the four of us. Our tree was decorated and our spare money spent on gifts, but I just suddenly wanted to go back home to Canada.

  • The LDS stance on tattoos is 100% backed by Leviticus 19:28.

  • @4squaredby4times4 So we need to follow Levitical laws now too? Why stop there, what are the rest of the laws. How about the Sabbath which is actually Saturday, not Sunday. Shall I continue. I do not recommend tattoos, but lets not be stupid enough to think that Jesus would have a problem with a tattooed dude spreading the gospel. Mormons give to much credence to appearances, like the Pharisees. Yet they can't see their church has become their idol.

  • I know the prophet is a true living prophet of the Devil!!

  • @porx1000

How do you possibly conclude that this man is evil?!? He is one of the greatest men that I know! You sir are blinded by the devil!

  • @GaryKColeman Jehovah witnesses don't celebrate birthdays or other holidays. My understanding is because they believe that these types of celebrations were practiced by pagans and then passed down those traditions through generations today.

  • My late friend Davis Bitton, a leading Mormon historian who himself contributed several essays to the Review, once told me that it contained the best writing currently being done within the church. Another prominent Mormon historian complained to me about it at a scholarly meeting a number of years back: Every time a new issue arrived, he said, he had to set everything aside and read it from cover to cover, which interfered with his other obligations.

  • Two black women at IBM once asked Ken Kuykendall whether his core characteristic was as a man or as a white person. Would he, his co-workers wondered, be more comfortable in a room of 100 white women or 100 black men?

Caught off guard, Kuykendall felt he would stick out in both environments. Instead, he told them the next day, his most fundamental identity was as a Mormon.

  • Religion=*facepalm

  • Great vid.

  • So he's a President and a Prophet...nothing strange about that right?!...hmmm

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints told South County Outreach that its youth wanted to help. Dave Daly, LDS interfaith director, and Shakeel Syed, Islamic Shura Council executive director, teamed together to coordinate youth volunteers from both organizations to man the food drive at local grocery stores. Participating stores included Albertsons, Henry's, Pavilions, Vons and Fresh & Easy.

  • "With the market's instability and unemployment numbers high, it is no surprise that local families are asking for help," Nora Dopudja, director of operations at South County Outreach in Lake Forest, said, which serves families from Irvine to San Clemente. Three years ago the food bank served 33,000 people and this year they expect to help 63,000.

  • can TSM Smile?

can he give us a profound thought, an analogy, or some logical Truth, Wisdom?

can he talk in terms of Real-Life problems & challenges that everyday people face?

can he give ANY wisdom that isn't already out there? ANY?

    Ummmmmmmmmmmm

  • @amarkanders777 "can TSM Smile?"

I am glad you were able to hit on the IMPORTANT things? Are his teeth white enough too?

  • Empty suits do not make gentlemen.

    Fake smiles express no kindness.

    Cheesy stories aren't wisdom.

And, power is no substitute for class and competence.

  • Prophesy? No prophetic words spoken here. Maybe if you play it backwards?

  • @Doesthetruthmatter "such will transpire again as we pray with faith" - Prophetic words spoken at the 1:29 mark. He who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

  • So what makes this man a true prophet (or Joseph Smith), and say, Ellen White a false one?

I need some defining markers here. Why are LDS prophets true, and SDA prophets wrong?

It is claimed Ellen White experienced over 2000 visions in her lifetime, and numerous witnesses testify. The views of Ellen White and the SDA Church are extremely opposed to the views of Mormonism. So who do we believe?, and why? Show why.

  • Where's the Prophecy?

  • man i just don't get it. i just dont. i was raised christian i guess, we had christmas and easter but not much more than that. i dont understand why Mormons dont celebrate birthdays or other hollidays. and some of the ideas i've heard the mormon faith preach, is so beyond farfetched and out of touch with reality (in my opinion) its impossible to blindly follow. I understand that everyone has their differences and thats fine, but i think the Mormon Faith has to improve its public image.

  • @hestes007....I just wanted to make a comment on a couple of points that you made in your comment. First, Mormons or LDS members do in fact celebrate birthdays. Second, we also celebrate all holidays that we may in joy in whatever country or state that we may from. I agree that we all have our differences and that is fine, but I think we should all get to know more of what those differences are so we can become people of a better understanding.

  • @hestes007

I don't know where you get your information, but after reading your comments, I can see that it is not a reliable source. You don't say what "some of the ideas" are that are "farfetched and out of touch with reality." If they are from the same place that told you that we don't "celebrate birthdays or other holidays," you probably got mis-information.

Enlighten us as to what those ideas are.

  • Boston, Massachusetts, Episcopal priest Danielle Elizabeth Tumminio and her husband ventured recently to Palmyra, New York, for a chance to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant.

  • The outdoor play, set on a scenic hillside, has a cast of about 1,000 performers. The play tells the story of how the Book of Mormon came forth through an ancient prophet named Moroni. Hill Cumorah is the location where Joseph Smith received the golden plates, which later became the Book of Mormon. The pageant is one of several plays focusing on how Jesus Christ is at the center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  • 1820: At the age of 14, Joseph Smith is desperate to know what denomination he should join. He prays on this in an orchard behind his parents' home in Palmyra, N.Y. While praying on his knees, he is hit by a vision of light. Then, God and Jesus, both appearing as flesh and blood men, talk to Joseph. They tell him that all the denominations have strayed from the truth and he should join none of them. . .

  • @omiolo I humbly write to you so others may know this also. The Father and Son did visit Joseph in order to restore the Gospel with all it's Priesthood and keys to it. But they appeared to Joseph in flesh and bone, not by blood, Resurrected beings don't have blood, but are overcome by the Spirit. Blood is only an earthly thing. Thanks )

  • @tigergreg8 "Resurrected beings don't have blood"

While we are ALL entitled to our own opinion, we must remember that it is OPINION and SPECULATION and NOT try to push it off as official doctrine.

  • @omiolo And again you show your ignorance of your own church history. You are just reciting their finalized fixed up version of the first vision.

You should know the first vision was not even known by the early Mormons. The version of which you boast was not even in print untill 22 years after it supposedly happened. All other version said an angel named Nephi and then was changed to Moroni and the vision story changes many times. What you have now is the final revised version. All a lie.

  • @manderbos You are just another bigot.

  • @dorisfenella You like throwing around that word just as much as some people scream racists, for no reason. Just because I disagree with the doctrines doesn't mean I'm a bigot. If that be the case then everyone is a bigot. Bigotry means, intolerance, I tolerate Mormons. Prejudice means, an adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts,.and I've examined the facts & have knowledge of said facts. Mormons need to know the facts.

  • @manderbos "You should know the first vision was not even known by the early Mormons. The version of which you boast was not even in print untill 22 years after it supposedly happened"

ANTImormon MYTH continued by the IGNORANT. Good job!

  • @omiolo I guess I should have said 20years. He claimed his 1st vision to by around 1820 it's first publication was 1840, 20yrs. In 1832, he wrote several different versions. Didn't develop to what u have today until later.Hmm. He prophecies that his son would translate hieroglyphs when he is only 3 yrs. old. On 6/15/28 his son was born deformed and dead. In 1828, he joined the Methodist Church. They later rejected him because of his glass looking conviction.

  • @omiolo By May 24,1844 Joseph singled out the Methodist church saying it is unworthy of his membership. All this making any sense to you? Why if in 1920 he was told all religions were an abomination and to not join any of them, does he do so? Go ahead I know your going to deny it, Mormons always fall back on, "Its just propaganda" good luck with your self delusions. The Susquehanna Register, May 1, 1834, p.1

  • @manderbos "May 24,1844, if in 1920"

Maybe you should RECHECK your dates so you at least have some credit in the eyes of the ANTImormons.

  • @omiolo Oh, so I made a typo, and your going to discredit the facts presented to you?

typical. I find most Mormons pefer the deception and tag everyone else as wrong. They do not even use their analytical thinking when finding out that their history is tainted, badly. Mormon apologist, twist and try to throw doubt and write so much that most Mormons get bored and give up. I notice you did not even address the issues or research for yourself what I presented. Because you are blind.

  • @omiolo You already know the Book of Abraham is a fraud, and it's been proven. Yet the apologists say, Joseph must have been inspired by the papyri. Yet Joseph kept record of how much he worked at the translating it. There is so much info you can find omiolo, They give the LDS sources for the info. Christians are not lying to you, LDS are great people and do good deeds but they are also believing false doctrine. Read the N.T. read John and Galatians, read it all and you will see.

  • @manderbos "You already know the Book of Abraham is a fraud"

From what I can tell, the BOA is the greatest translation I have ever seen and I translate things every day.

  • @omiolo But it wasn't a translation at all. Experts have proven it inconclusively, that Joseph did not translate anything from the Hieroglyphics, at all. period. So you admire Joseph as an author, and yet do not think he could also write the Book of Mormon? I could write it myself and copy Isaiah like he did and make up a prophet that quotes Jesus' very words, 600 years B.C. Add, "And it came to pass" to the beginning of over 1,358 verses for only 5267 verses total,

  • Comment removed

  • @manderbos I meant, "conclusively,"

  • @manderbos By the way, I think it is very telling of your character that Shawn McCraney actually said you and others on YouTube were spreading lies about him. Do you realize he has invited Mormon apologists and defenders of Mormonism to come on his show live or even pre-recorded and tell Christians, just what is it that we don't understand about Mormonism. To explain what is it that Shawn is wrong about specifically, and they never come, because they know they can be proven wrong.

  • @omiolo

The Bible has 31,051 verses and only has it 457times. Or the word, "Exceedingly" Joseph used 267x in [5,267] compared to the Bible's 39x in [31,051] times. Even Mark Twain made fun Joseph's writing it that way. Why would BOM be in King James Version? Why are there words in it that did not exist until modern times, like,"concourses", a modern word. Not to forget, all the horses and chariots, bees, plants, etc. that are scientifically wrong during that time in Am, history.

  • @manderbos "The Bible has 31,051 verses"

Which Bible? Please do NOT pretend like there is only ONE Bible. Please do NOT pretend like they all use the same books too.

  • @omiolo Can we say, deflecting or sidestepping the issues, because that 's all you do.

  • @manderbos You know I could go on about the mistakes or oddities, but you don't care about facts, you want to hold on to your religion white-knuckling your hold to Joseph, thinking you are being faithful. But it IS a lie, a huge fabrication with thousands of men working hard to keep it going. But it is being exposed daily, because of the blessing of the internet. You are supposed to cling to Jesus only while you endure to the end, not Joseph or a church or any religion.

  • Mormonism is deeply rooted in the American frontier and it a quintessential part of U.S. history. Mormons endured more religious bigotry than any other group in the United States, but somehow emerged the strong for it.

Have you a brain do you really read the bible do you think what is inside and you still saying it is gods word. yourselfs are the biggest problems because you choose the way of faith that allowing you do anything just cos somebody 'died' for that. nonsense

NO, no one has a brain but you???

  • Thomas Nonsense

  • @kramd1 "Nonsense"

Are you really that LONELY? Divorced I am sure!

  • @omiolo LOL Lonely ? Here's the Mormon convert who copies and pastes to fill blogs and has nothing tangible to add. ie; " are you lonely" get a grip.

Thomas Nonsense . I thought that was apt and a little witty : ) A least you got it .....LOL

  • Thank you so much for this video! I have been having impressions that I might go to Israel on my mission... haha guess I need to start praying that the Israel mission is opened huh?

  • Nice vid about what's not revelation. An apology for what ridiculous statements LDS presidents make. It is not doctrine until the twelve apostles agree it's actually revelation from God ?

That's different to Joseph Smith who declared revelation from God, made it doctrine and all without a vote. FAIL

  • The only time he ever said Jesus was at 0:22. Everything else was about how great the church, and how great man is.

  • @drummaryan He was speaking on a specific matter about the church, and telling everyone about how great of a rightious work is going forth, and how it can be improved by us. The church is great because it is centered around Christ. President Monson would never glorify man over the Savior, but what the church does is brings us closer to the Savior, and what brings a man unto the Lord can only be good.

  • @diveboy7 I would disagree, but you are allowed to believe what you want. As far as bringing you closer to God, I would say he's bringing you further away. Luke 16:16 says the law and the prophets have been fulfilled. You dont need a prophet to get close to God, you can do it by yourself through the Holy Spirit. I was once Mormon, and now Im Christian. I have never been closer to God than ever before.

  • Also, notice how he only talks about the Church, not about God. It's all about man to the LDS. If you want to know the truth, go to Jesus, and if you need help, I will help.

  • @Theguyondrums It doesnt matter how nice you are, only believing in the true Jesus, can save you. Hopefully if you truly believe in Jesus you will become a better person. And to be a Christian you have to believe in the Trinity, and only one God, which mormons dont. they are not Christians. They are LDS. See even Satan believes in Jesus. So if you truly believe in Jesus, you will become a better person, and do it for him. They dont believe Jesus is God, they only think he is the son of God.

  • Read Luke 16:16, we dont need a prophet today. We can go straight to Jesus, we dont need an inter mediator.

  • I refuse to believe this Henotheistic cult, you all believe in the possibility of "other gods" ruling other universes? How can you believe in such a thing when god clearly stated in the Bible...

"Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel , and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I AM THE FIRST, AND I AM THE LAST; AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO GOD." Isaiah 44:6

  • @xXCOLDH3ARTXx I take that scripture as meaning that in our daily lives, we put the Lord first and last and have no other gods before him. Thats more applicable to our lives then the latter. All too many people worship "other gods" (music, wealth, power) and put them before Him, when He is to be put first in our lives. To me, that makes more sense then Him stating that he is the only one out there in the unverse. Although a grand point... it does nothing for us.

  • People uniting under a common altruistic cause are what create miracles, not prayer.

  • @madmonk Prayer can be a very motivating common factor between the people uniting under a cause. Whether or not you believe that prayer is a true communication with divine beings depends entirely on your own personal experience with it. Be sure you give it a honest chance in good faith before completely dismissing it.

  • The Book of Mormon is a Satanic Trap. Mormonism is a false gospel. John 3:18,36 First Corinthians 1:17-21 Isaiah 43:10,11 & 44:6-8,24

  • @carterfamily8903

What do the trinitarians have to offer the world? Their trinitarian God created this world, provided billions of souls to occupy it, and sent a Redeemer to save those souls so they could return to Heaven. However, He made a limited effort to give those billions access to the key of redemption--the chance to know that Redeemer and ACCEPT or REJECT Him. Then He condemns those billions to hell because they didn't accept the Redeemer the majority never even heard of.

  • @carterfamily8903

If their God is omnipotent, He could have made a way for ALL to participate. Because of this I REJECT their trinitarian Jesus. I refuse to accept a God who is so uncaring, unloving, and unjust that He ignores the prayers and pleadings of the vast majority of His human creations.

This will send me to their hell, but I do this of my own free will and choice. In their hell, I will be among the billions who were never given a free will and choice.

  • @carterfamily8903

While many in their hell are the evil and wicked of the world, many are innocent souls who tried to conduct their lives to the best of their knowledge and abilities. There are hundreds of millions who would have accepted the True Son of God had they been given the chance.

The trinitarian God created more souls to be condemned to hell than will ever be exalted to Heaven.

They have absolutely nothing to offer me. I see no reason to abandon my beliefs for theirs.

  • Sorry omiolo, ones "confused" are Mormon false prophets who speak for false gods.

  • @rickgigliotti

Why do you even bother speaking to "omiolo". Let me save you some time.

He is best ignored. Focus on those who can ingage in rational conversation and have at least a semblence of desire for truth. Don't waste time on someone who has no desire for truth, but posts meaningless diatribe to drown out those small voices of truth that exist under these videos.

    Peace in Christ.

    Matthew 7:6

  • In my own turn, to be perfectly candid, when I first heard that Sen. Bennett had written such a manuscript, I doubted that it would be of much value. He was, after all, not a specialist, and I was certain that a busy senator had little time to keep up with the explosion of scholarship on the Book of Mormon that has occurred over the past three decades. What, beyond a shallow rehash, could it possibly have to offer?

  • Some people, hearing that Utah Sen. Bob Bennett had written a book on the Book of Mormon, suspected that it was a politically motivated attempt to curry favor with Utah's Mormon voters.

Having read the manuscript well before it was published, long before the senator's renomination seemed in jeopardy, I knew that it wasn't. It was plainly the product of sustained, careful reflection, not a hasty political ploy.

  • Mozambique is also the headquarters to the Mozambique Maputo Mission, which covers all of Mozambique and the country of Angola (on the southwest coast of Africa).

  • On Elder Scott’s first visit, there were only 40 Church members in Mozambique, and the country was part of the South Africa Johannesburg Mission. At the time of his second visit, the Church had grown to more than 5,000 members spread throughout two districts, 19 branches, and three groups meeting across the country.

  • Young men, I challenge you to build your lives on a foundation of truth and righteousness. It is the only foundation that will stand the pressures of this life and endure through the eternities. The priesthood you bear is a special gift, for the giver is the Lord Himself. Use it, magnify it, and live worthy of it. I want you to know that I have a special and personal testimony of its power. It has blessed my life in so many ways.

  • @rickgigliotti Did you actually read the scriptures you posted, or did you just post them because you read them on some ANTImormon post and you thought it would be a great idea to strike back at the people who actually have the TRUTH? Lucky guess huh?

  • @omiolo Ha, you pretty used to the false prophecies by the Mormons? Sounds like you hear some of them a lot. There is a lot of them out there. It is sad Mormons have to have so little respect for prophecy and the Word of God because of the problems in Mormonism....

  • @rickgigliotti "Ha, you pretty used to the false prophecies by the Mormons?"

NOPE! If I were to say you are confused. That would be an UNDERSTATEMENT on my part!

  • Excellent message! Thanks for sharing.

  • A Prophet of God.

  • @omiolo2 what makes this guy a prophet, what prophecies has he made?

  • @kightsun Revelations 19:10 and did you watch and listen to this video?

  • @omiolo Yes, I watched it, it had no prophetic meaning in it at all. Second, Rev. 19:10 is an angle telling John not to worship him, for the one with the testemony of Christ's death on the cross, as a sacrafice for all is equal to the gift of prophecy, My first question still has not been answered.

  • @kightsun "no prophetic meaning"

    What does that even mean?

    BTW Mark 8:18

  • @omiolo There was not a single prophecy in it, that's what I meant by No prophetic meaning. Not a single prophecy in this video, and I haven't heard of a single one he's made.

  • @kightsun "There was not a single prophecy in it"

Maybe you should define 'prophecy'? Thanks for answering the other question though.

  • Nice!
