  • It's not an ALCO unless it smokes. Great stuff.

  • At the 2:30 mark, you can see smoke coming out from both engines. Is there an engineer in the second cab as well when operating freight trains that have more than one engine for power? If so, how do they know when to change the notch speeds, etc...?

  • How does he "put up smoke"?

  • lol, i used to ride quads next 2 those tracks.

  • I live around in the area this video was shot. Cool!

  • Awsome videos please post more If you have 'em.

  • Awesome, love the exhaust!

  • Man I just noticed...the back cap and diaphragm are totally missing on one of the trumpets...no wonder the horn sound like crap...

  • You realize that the 3rd car is a CB&Q box, right!?!

  • great video! this brings back some memories! do you have anything on the kings park hospital spur?

  • If I am not mistaken, the horn on the 222, as well as the 226 and 227 is an old school Nathan M3. The one on the 227 is just really fouled, which causes only one of the bells to sound.

  • Yes it is, all of the LI C420's had Nathan M3's...

  • Im trying to find out what horn is used on the Livonia Avon & Lakeland RR's C420, #420. It used to be owned by LI RR. Horns are 3 bells, all forward but are duplicated each end of the engine, do reckon its still a Nathan M3 used today? Thanks for any info!

  • Now im not so sure, pictures of 420 look like the bells are to long to be an M3.

  • Great Work Keep it up i love seeing thing's like this you have video of fantrip in 1988 by 39 group

  • wow so cool
