At the 2:30 mark, you can see smoke coming out from both engines. Is there an engineer in the second cab as well when operating freight trains that have more than one engine for power? If so, how do they know when to change the notch speeds, etc...?
If I am not mistaken, the horn on the 222, as well as the 226 and 227 is an old school Nathan M3. The one on the 227 is just really fouled, which causes only one of the bells to sound.
Im trying to find out what horn is used on the Livonia Avon & Lakeland RR's C420, #420. It used to be owned by LI RR. Horns are 3 bells, all forward but are duplicated each end of the engine, do reckon its still a Nathan M3 used today? Thanks for any info!
It's not an ALCO unless it smokes. Great stuff.
