2 things:

can u get free books ON the kindle? like in the kindle store../

and also, if the 3g is on but i am not on the kindle store, will it still use battery. even when it is on sleep??

Yup you can get free books on the kindle itself from the kindle store. Second if your whispernet is on then it will suck your battery no matter if your using it or not. I only have my on if I am using it.

thank you for your review on kindle 2 > you mentioned that you dont really have a good library in your town (we dont have a library where i live: ( ...) can you find kindle support and full feature outside USA > and can you check if Kindle supports PDF format... THANK YOU !!

I did not think that PDF was supported but another person on this page said that they were able to transfer a PDF file. There has been a lot of grumbling about this so Im assuming that maybe that will be rectified in the next version. As for support, it is my understanding that since this product has been made for the US only and does not even ship out of the US, you would not receive support out of the states. Hopefully the next kindle edition will be available to more then just the US.

I don't believe that the Kindle supports PDF format, but then again I have not done a whole lot of computer to kindle transfers. I would double check on that.
