takes too god damn long to start off inthe dark age in my opinion game gets way too long, and boring(online and off) having more resources and starting off in imperial makes the game abit more enjoyable, i only play darkage when i got time, which i rarely do.

I don't play deathmatch at all. But champions and heavy cav ???? with brits? I'd imagine making massed arbalests with halberdiers/cavaliers would be more effective for a defensive strategy.

@numbcore I like Deathmatch in the Dark Age on low speeds, that way you can actually experience the economy system in the game. I like out manuvering my opponents, not just happening to build more cavaliers. One I built built a semi-functional city, and defended it with two layers of fortified wall with guard towers in-between. (I just lovebeing creative like that...) ^-^

I bet you haven't played a single game of deathmatch, because it's ALL about the rushes in the beginning. anyway... do you seriously think you can stop a rush with some wood "fences"? hahaha stop talking trash dude.

@nvv4 as I said, the resources are running off VERY fast (if you play it well, and build at least 15 military buildings and you mass units). You will run off in gold in about 15 minutes. There are TONS of strategys, and you simply can't win without a good strategy. It may look like 'the one who builds an army the fastest will win', but it's not. If you play this often,you will get a fast macromanagement, and you barely have to think about what you want to do. I'm sorry for sounding offensive

There are SO many strategy's for deathmatch, and they often last even longer than a standard match. You're probably thinking 'oh there are unlimited resources so this sucks'. that's completely wrong, you will run off your gold VERY soon and you have to build at least 90 villagers after a while. play this it at voobly and you will get your ass kicked within 5 minutes
