I was googling for the bugs bunny rendition of this, and this was the first hit? Anyway, I was in this choir in school, I graduated the year before this trip. The director, Eisenman, is fantastic! The unfortunate truth is students at this school have egos disproportionate to their talent. Love America! They should stick to easier music, but this is the only way to keep them from getting bored.
I think the girls did come in late and everyone sounded bored to me.
This is a really difficult piece and the group should probably have started out with something less complicated and then worked up to the more difficult ones.
too slow, too legato in places it should be more staccato...sorry guys this is too advanced for you. And the tenor in the background with his solo (and constant rocking) is straining. The director should have known better than choose this piece. Good to challenge your students, but there is such a thing as TOO challenging for your group.
I think this is an unintentionally excellent parody!!! I'm sure there is a note of satrical humor crossing the faces of some of the singers. Great Idea!!
