@ryangotajackson well i like them both but if your looking for a slow paced fighting then chose MHFU but the downside on MHFU is it does not have a story line or Plot If you Like Fast Paced fighting then chose GEB it has story line plot and large monsters and you can jump anytime you like but it has very hard camera control then MHFU
@ryangotajackson Personally I tried both games, I find GEB more fun. Sure, MHFU might be more challenging, but GEB is more fast-paced. However, if you do not like the plot in a game, go for MHFU. GEB revolves around a story. Also, GEB has a bullet editor system which is pretty unique. You get to create your own bullet. There are 3 sword and 3 gun types. All of each have their different skills and effects. All of them would be utilised to effectively kill a monster.
@DeathZgluton Also, this game has a system known as "burst" in which you can customize through control units for special effects. The clothes are customizable but they do nothing but to change your looks. Overall I would rate MHFU 8/10 and GEB 10/10.
@ryangotajackson Altogether, Monster Hunter is definitely the best of its kind, but as far as MH-inspired games go, Gods Eater's the best one you can find. In terms of actually comparing it to Monster Hunter though, it's more accessible and easier to shake off the rust, but while the actual monster-fighting is more fast-paced and based around hack-n-slash, it really isn't as challenging, varied, technical, or skill-based as Monster Hunter. No monster in this game is as challenging as Rajang.
