We were only going about 60kmh there, just our practice course, We use a full set of leathers from NJK, custom made for us, Some foam in the arms and knees and thats about it. lol

some guys were body armour under the leather but it effects how low you can get to minimize drag when racing, When we race we are usually hitting speeds between 90-110 kmh

I would highly reccommend a set of leathers though if you think you are going to lay down your bike, i can't count the times mine has saved me!!!

I'm no street luger, actually I'm a motorcycle rider. Do you guys just wear Alpinestars full body motorcycle suits? Yes or no because by the looks of that crash and the speed you were going, that might just convince me to buy one :)

@condonwilliam that dervish video is old. i downhill as well. and i must say, taking turns at 45+ standing up is much more bad ass then what 50+ laying down? haha, and also watch some downhill vids of longboarding. the best part is when we blow by a luger. keep trying to act cool.

@trev0rV In the entire 6 weeks of IGSA euro tour I did not see one single luge being overtaken by a longboarder. Its sad that you're such a douche about it, many of us luge guys spend our summer out riding with the best longboarders in the world and have nothing but respect for each other, a lot of us also race dh too, and visa versa.

@mastertracuer im a street luger and i would say that luge has worse injuries, but we dont get hurt as oftern as skateboarders do, also downhill skateboarding does take a little more corridination, but its all relative, i have luged for 5 years, im sure that if i had been skateoarding for that long i would find it a little easier too

@trev0rV Try skateboarding, save money, you can wear safety equipment but its more of a rush when you're going same speeds you get on a longboard except on a wobbly little piece of shit that you know you're going to fall on... and you can save the embarrassment of telling your parents you like men.
