Neil, I've been wondering for some time but do you know of an oriental-styled hot-sauce that will work on my oriental foods? So far, a hot oriental sauce has been somewhat elusive to me.
Would this one work, or do you know of a sauce that is oriental-styled?
Heya Physhi - I haven't found any good hot sauces for oriential either....other than Wasabi (you should do a Wasabi test, Neil!) the hottest thing i've found is plain old Thai chillies like phrik ki nu suan, phrik ki nu and phrik chee faa. I usually mince these and put them in fish sauce (nam pla phrik) with garlic (nam pla kratiem) or lime (nam pla manao) to make a condiment....hope this helps :-)

thats my 200watt mini PA that we use when go out do acoustic stuff or if play solo.. the band has a channel with a few songs up madclowndiseaseoz , have a few of us rehearsing and just put up a solo lou reed acoustic cover :-)

Nice vid Neil. This looks awesome, most of my friends prefer sweet chilli sauce but this one is on "steroids" so I'm gonna give it a go., and introduce it too them see if they can handle it. Why does every bottle say "consume within 6 weeks"?? I made a batch once using 160 green fingers, 5 habs and a bag of dried chillies me mate brought from India, A bulb of garlic, lemon juice, cayenne powder, black pepper, tomato puree, vinegar and only a t-spoon of salt. It lasted me 8 months unfridgerated!
I dunno, i know this wasn't directed to me, but doesn't bacteria tend to stay away from this? like...it CAN be used a an anti-bacterial material if it didn't burn so much :P
yea my missus loves the sweet but this to much, so yea its a getter :-)
dunno, mine don't say 6 weeks, people prob scared they gonna get probs with but if have the ph right and things sterilised they go for ages and Yea i have mine sometimes in the cupboard for months BUT have had some sitting unopened for a while and see things changing in them so dunno, think a lot is to stop them being sued if they leave it for ages
This must be a tremendous sauce. Look at that beaut color and texture. I can almost smell its fruity aroma. You guys have hell of a selection of sauces, here Down Under. Many of them look like homemade or produced only for limited target. I have to sweat a lot to find something which is not extractish. Keep it up guys.
Its Awesome and nearly gone as we had an Omlette later and Andrew stayed so we gave it a good go, most i get sent, heap from Aus but this like many are from OS and if ya look around ya can find but postage can be a Killer, i actually ordered 2 of the Jelly's as Loved it and they threw this in so was a Lucky bonus.. BUT will be getting more :-)

You should test Sriracha Hot Sauce. Although it may not be considered to be "HOT", it tastes very good with a variety of foods.

We use pepper-water to dscourage pests during the growing season, and we use pepper-flakes to keep cats from digging in pepper pots.

I haven't noticed any pepper flavor imparted to the plants that are treated for pests. We grow peppers, tomatoes, basil, squash, melon, and garlic.
