I think they actually said they hoped the police were going to drag them all away and arrest them all so they could finish their days of playing live together once and for all in style... but that wasn't to be.

isn't it quite ironic that the last song they sang on their final performance is "Get Back to where you once belonged", almost seems to me that the song shows they have come the full circle and want to get back to where it started.
