  • I am formerly chemically dependent, alcohol and valium, zanox. Over 4 years free. I am a published author, artist and independent researcher in this subject line. The internal spirit of fear in the person must be eradicated. . If this is not accomplished a relapse is almost a mathematical certainty. A baptism in the Holy Spirit eradicates the spirit of fear. Nothing else will work permanently, nothing. Drug addiction is the symptom of a disease. The disease is the spirit of fear.

  • @GoodShepard007 Wow! To keep creating despite the drugs is quite an achievement. It takes considerable spiritual stamina to pull oneself out of addiction. The physical fact of the matter is, with bits of the drug still in your body the cravings will return as shown in the other videos. You can pray all you like, but it won’t wash the drug residues away. BTW Addiction is definitely NOT a disease. We prove that all day long as we get our graduates truly physically clean and drug free for life.

  • When you love someone close to you, sometimes you need to make the tough decisions. When someone you are close to is obviously abusing alcohol or drugs.

  • Most patients require long-term or repeated episodes of care to achieve the ultimate goal of sustained abstinence and recovery of their lives.

Having a brief understanding of what to expect when they enter the facility can be helpful.

  • @DanielSGrimsley Yes Daniel, This can be true with some rehabs that have time limits or other arbitary measures of completion. Once on our program the person is there until they graduate drug free AND relapse free. They develop other valuable life skills too as shown in other videos, but drug free and relapse free is the minimum result we expect to deliver.

  • Amazing tips! let's focus on other things in our life than to waste our money in Drug and Alcohol!

that cannot help! great video i will really share this to help many people!.

  • The beauty of setting goals is that you are never too old or too young to start the process and benefit from the outcome.

When it comes to recovering from alcohol addiction, knowledge is the key to surmounting the challenges involved.

  • @margaretsstoops Yes, knowledge is the way to go. Finding the right knowledge is the next challenge. The internet is full of knowledge, most of it amazing stuff. Some not so good. I try to make the knowledge in my videos as accurate as I can and all verifiable.

Getting through as an addict is not easy but this Video really give's amazing Tips!

  • @JordanLWagoner Thank you. Glad you found it to your liking.

  • Drug Addiction affects a person's memory, concentration, their physical and emotional health, relationships and overall well-being. Encouragement and discussion is very important before a good plan can work to be a help for them.Nice video thanks..!!

  • When a person is addicted to drugs or alcohol, their life becomes unmanageable, their health is compromised and their way of thinking becomes impaired. Helpful advice is also given from those who have overcome addictions like drug and alcohol abuse, it's comforting to know that there is ‘Life after Addiction.

  • @NicholeFurst This is so true. Like you say, their thinking becomes impared. this one of the main reasons they are so hard to talk to. While under the drug influence they still think they are talking sense. One of the things we find is that many students when they graduate and know for certain they will never relapse or become users again are so grateful they want to join staff to help others who are in the same plight as they were.

This is great because they truly understand the situation.

  • People who realize they have to quit this dangerous habit may be too embarrassed or afraid to confide in anyone. They might even be worried that they will land into trouble if they admit to having this problem. Abusers must talk to anyone they trust.

  • @RoseGMcKelvy Yes, this is a very good point and we run against it as well. You can never help a person if you start off accusing them because how they are or what they have done. We are not judgemental and have no need to be either. We take them in as they are. In the later part of the program they get to address what has gone on in their life with a special program unique to us and they sort it out themselves. This gives them the power to be themselves again and never look back.

  • Yes I agree,we need some explanations/discussions before the plan than can be worked out. If we are addicted to drugs our loved one may lost because they don't understand what is happening. Argued over your problem comes out, sometimes you lost your self too.

  • @ClarenceHMoore

It all comes down to willingness. The one factor that no one on earth can overcome in any activity. It is impossible to make someone do something they don't want to do and get a result. They will fight you all the way and it a waste of time trying. As brilliant and effective as our program is, it can't make anyone drug free that doesn't want to be.
