@CantWorkDeezGadgets actually when he's healthy he DOES make the team better in the colts superbowl season, the one in which they won, in the regular season he missed about 14 games and in thoes games the colts allowed 200+ rushing yards a game but when he came back in the playoffs the colts D shut down the cheifs and the ravens, who were good rushing teams, bob was a leader on that team the entire defense fed off his energy wen he was around, as for now bullit learned from one of the best

Yes Bob was active (you can check yourself), and yes Sproles rushed for over 100 yards. In fact, he wont he game in over time with a 30+ yard rushing attempt for the game winning TD. He was also active in 07' when they lost to the chargers in their first post season game. We can also look at the defensive numbers for last season. You'll see what I mean.....

However, when it comes to Bob sanders people will always not the 06 & 07 season, but won't look at every other season beyond that. Like I said, just look at the numbers for the 08' season. the Colts defense did just as well, if not better in games that Bob didn't play, even though he only played about 6 games.

@TheRDawg52 - The 4 most important games he played during his career were key toward winning SB XLI. He's brittle, but when healthy his value is only 2nd to Manning in the last 6 years. The Colts D hasn't been ranked higher than 11th in points/drive the last 3 seasons. They were ranked 8th in 2005 and 2nd in 2007 when Sanders was healthy for more than 12 games. The Colts needed him in the SB loss to the Saints.
I hope the Colts can find a fast, run oriented strong safety in the draft.

Him and Sean Taylor are my most favorite safeties. I would love for him to be a Redskin, but only for an incentive-laden contract. Of course, the incentive would be based on playing time.
I feel so bad for Bob. One of my favorite players, he plays at the highest octane level possible. Having him on the field essentially put a stickler in the other teams run games. He is such a beast on the field and kicks up the Colts' defense a notch. If he would have been healthy all his career, he would go down as one of the best saftey's. @TheRDawg52 - The 4 most important games he played during his career were key toward winning SB XLI. He's brittle, but when healthy his value is only 2nd to Manning in the last 6 years. The Colts D hasn't been ranked higher than 11th in points/drive the last 3 seasons. They were ranked 8th in 2005 and 2nd in 2007 when Sanders was healthy for more than 12 games. The Colts needed him in the SB loss to the Saints.
I hope the Colts can find a fast, run oriented strong safety in the draft.

I feel so bad for Bob. One of my favorite players, he plays at the highest octane level possible. Having him on the field essentially put a stickler in the other teams run games. He is such a beast on the field and kicks up the Colts' defense a notch. If he would have been healthy all his career, he would go down as one of the best saftey's. I understand why the Colts cut him, but it makes me sad the way his career has played out. To the one who says he is overrated is a retard.

@devax1986 Agreed. Bob Sanders was so fun to watch. He is a very unique safety because he is so short, but he hits a ton. Not to mention, he could run. Ironically, he came out the same year my other favorite safety came out, which was Sean Taylor.
