Disco Freestyle Dance Solo

Thanks for your comments guys, i dont mind critisim. For those who believe Freestyle Dance holds no technique then ok but it does however require a high level of fitness and flexibility throughout your whole body. Im going to State championships this year for 2 other completley different genres of dance so that also contradicts whoever thinks Freestyle Dancers are incapable of dancing in another style.

I know that in Disco FreeStyle you're supposed to move fast and it doesn't really matter if you have straight legs or not, but it would look a lot nicer if she did.

@CharelleCaprice Well, considering that I've been doing this type of dance for eleven years, and I've been doing ballet, tap and modern class for the same amount of time, I can tell you that you are wrong. Freestyle requires a lot of technique, just as much as other styles of dancing.

Go and learn the real facts about dancing before you try to bitch about it- Freestyle is the hardest type, and if you can't do it, that's your problem, no need to flame about it to others.

its funny when people say this is the hardest type of dance, me and my friends actually did this the other day taking the piss and tbh looked exactly like this LOL freestyle dancers have no technique whatsoever, put them in a ballet, tap or modern class and they would fail miserably. Although i have to say this girl was actually good, best ive seen so far!

im a disco free style competitor im only a beginner buh i can say its hard and ppl that say it requires no skill need to grow up it requires lots of skill time and effort....

You are really good at thee gymnastics side but disco freestyle has changed so much from when i did it in comps where people had to actually perform dance moves and there was no gymnastics involved. Its a shame it has moved so much in the gymnastic direction

i do both and i say ballet is a lot harder there is so much more to focus on then disco. As disco is faster you don't have to worry about as much about lines because your never really holding them for that long. Personally i don't see why people have to do all the gymnastics moves as disco is classed as dance not gymnastics.

Disco dancing, isnt about being neat.. fair enough its about the finnishes.. but its more about managing to keep energy through a hole ruitine.. and giving it your all... Ballet is slow, and easier to keep neat, Freestyle is probably the fastest kind of dancing going, therefore much easier to keep it neat :)

i do both! and because i do ballet it makes it easier cause of stretching and balance but you don't have to be really flexible there is alot of girls that do freestyle that are fairly big built (not FAT) and not flexible yes they can high kick but they dont do back walk overs like most of us.. but they are such good dancers! it's not all about being flexible.. and no it's not bloody well easy! when you can dance call me yhh?

it only looks like gymnastics coz champs do a dance on when they get to the final.,... thats what a dance on is for... to show off what moves you can do because in the normal routines you are limited to what you can do like you cant do walkovers n stuff... so it is dance.

@DKrazee to be fair i think ballet is a lot harder. im a ballet dancer and you would be surprised how difficult it is. this couldbe classed as dancing but it seems to be more acrobatic than nethin. however i do respect people that do this it obviously takes a hell of a lot of hard work.

dance can be infuenced by anything ! theres different styels of dancing from tango to disco ! and everyone has there own opinions but at the end of the day this is dance. whether you like it or not.
