Majora for 8 bucks, that's really not that bad. you could certainly find it cheaper, but still, that's decent. I just started watching the series 15 minutes ago. it's pretty rad so far. I go to swap meets all the time for retro games!
Yeah, Blades of Steel and Mega Man 3 for $16 was way too much. You probably could of got both on eBay for less. I found my Mega Man 3 with the manual and sleeve for $5 bucks at a Pawn Shop.
I love watching you guys!! I agree that reseller prices are ridiculous! $15 for Turtles in Time? I got lucky and was able to find it for $3 at my local goodwill.

@RetroHunters dude 15 for turtles in time is a pretty good deal lol they got for like 35 to 40 right now on ebay lol i know its high way robbery lol but sometimes thats the way game chasin go lol i stole that from game chasers lol
Super Castlevania IV - '29 used from $20' (BEFORE shipping)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - '40 used from $22.91' (before shipping)
On eBay (same date)
Super Castlevania IV - Lowest Buy It Now price - $17.99 (before shipping)
Majora's Mask - $21.99 (free shipping)
Am I missing something here? Yeah, the re-sellers suck, but why not pay the $15 for Castlevania, ESPECIALLY when THAT'S the game you really want & the price is much higher elsewhere?
Man I wish i had all these low prices where I live. (Lemoyne, Quebec) because pretty much everything here is resellers and everything is way higher than what you guys get :(
yeah, you guys over paid for everything except for Majoras Mask. But hey, it was fun watch. And at the end of the day, it's the thrill of the hunt. I have no problem over paying for games if they come from a retail store, just because It's helping support the business, which in turn is helping me and the industry. Oh, and without seeing the next ep on the label-less snes cart, I don't think it's A Link To The Past, cause the cart has the later stlye thinner cart bottom. but i could be wrong
I hit a flea market and thanks to you guys I can totally find the bullshit resellers.....one vendor did have a top loader NES but wanted 50bucks, I'm sure it was a decent deal but I only took 40bucks cash with me
I'm glad I don't live where you guys live... you're still paying way too much for most of the games you buy! Especially considering the condition they're in! Still, fun to watch, thanks.
I went down to my laundry room last week and inside it is a table that people use to leave unwanted items for other tenants, usually old books and magazines. But this time somebody left something way better... Inside an old shopping bag was a complete SNES, Star Fox, Super Mario World, Mario All Stars, and a copy of Final Fantasy 3. I nearly shit my pants when I saw this stuff and snatched it up quick and ran like lightning back up to my apartment. Everything worked. Awesome day.
@RetroHunters im glad i didnt get it wrong! I was just so surprised that none had picked up on it! great show guys, have you seen VIDEOGAMESNUT?? scottish guy game hunting in the UK worth a look!
@RetroHunters Yeah its a great strategy but usually when you run across a rare system its hard to buy for just $30 bucks ;) but man I love your vidz! hope you guys do a bunch more. It really inspires ppl (me included) to do what you guys do and find those hidden treasures ;) keep it up!
Haha! Just thought I would clarify. I did enjoy watching your vids though. I used to have a bunch of vintage video games, but I sold them on ebay years back. Turbo Grafix, Coleco... I kind of wish I would have held onto them now. When I put my atari lot for sale I got a bunch of questions about Chuck Wagon. I pulled the lot and researched the game. I got 90 bucks for it back in '04.
@RetroHunters guys, u invited me to a retro hunt in san jose on facebook, i know of a great guy with some really good and rare games, hes a dealer, but he's really nice and his prices are reasonable, we should meet up definitely
Those resellers are full of crap, he paid 7 for street fighter I don't think so. Flea market I was at last month a reseller tried to sell me "tight" n64 controllers that were loose as fuck.
I don`t believe he buys a game for $12 & sells for just $3 profit, even if he does buy single carts? which I doubt, I`d bet he pays a lot less than that for them,it would also be a good bet he buys them in at least small job lots,as hes not collecting it don't matter if he gets lots of doubles,If it works out as a cheap deal even I as a gamer will buy small lot`s of eBay etc, even if there's 1 or 2 titles I own already,so a trader will do it for sure What do you guys think do you buy what he said?
I've just only found about RH today and I can honestly say I'm a big fan. I collect to play retro-games all the time, along with my brother. I'm a big Atari, Sega, and Nintendo guy when it comes to old-school. I also love N64 and PlayStaion 1, but I consider them new old-school (and yes, that's a term I'm gonna start using). I like all the systems, new and old.
