  • I don't think he's making the internet out to be a bad thing. It's good to have extraintellectual sources of information. What he's saying is, because you have the internet at your fingertips, because Wikipedia knows when the US civil war was, gives you the opportunity to not remember it, if you believe you can access it via smartphone at a moments notice.

  • Some of his points make sense but you've also got to account how people react to this info. I for instance decided to start a blog to share as well as organize my thoughts. I encourage everyone to do the same since you just take in info you'll also be giving out. Like any other learning ability, active and reactive thinking is way more crucial for our brains than just passive thinking.

  • I learned pretty much in high school, but I'm pretty sure that I've learned even more just from Wikipedia. Yes, history, physics, and geography, as well as about cameras and other things. From YouTube, I learned how to use Google SketchUp and make great 3D objects.

    But then again, I probably missed most of this guy's best points because I was checking my Twitter feed, texting my friend, and updating my profile photo on Facebook. Just kidding.

  • An interesting view of the internet, there is definitely some benefits and drawbacks to having it. :)

  • I don't think he understands the internet. The internet is a wealth of knowledge unlike any other. This is basically on the level as the creation of the printing press. He seems pretty dense to try and argue this.

  • Depends what you do on the internet. If you spend your days poking your friends on facebook, you are a retard
