  • I plan on buying one of these puppy's can you tell me in what year were they released into the market ? thx

  • Nice, I'll keep this info handy in case my unit starts acting up.

BTW, the "glued" screws would have been secured with a product similar to Loctite. Since the unit has moving parts, Loctite will prevent the screws from loosening from the motor/slider vibrations. So ideally, during re-assembly, the same screws should be secured with a dab of Loctite or a dab of fingernail polish.

  • @KWHCoaster Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Hopefully everybody else reads this. That really does make sense. I was wondering why in the world would they would put on glue on their screws. I didn't bother to reapply that. So far, so good.. Until the next time I calibrate it, I'll put that into thought :-)

  • @bahbuh You're welcome. Feel free to add this info to your description so others well see it.

  • @KWHCoaster Done buddy. :-) thanks again. I left your username there as credit. :-)

  • Thank you for this, you rock. (and sweet music, is that yours?)

  • @unku hey yo! Thanks! People should be aware with regards to this issue as it isn't the a faulty unit but a matter of ripping it apart and tightening the belts. Of course, this would obviously void your warranty, but if it works, it works! And when I was demonstrating on the faders/knobs automation, that's when one of my recording was being played. Thanks for the comment on it! You can view it on YouTube as well. It's called "Fragments of Beliefs" :)

  • @bahbuh Yeah, and the unit is incredibly low-cost for what it does. I've been meaning to get a good motorized midi-mixer... you didn't demonstrate, at the end, if the now-fixed faders move smoothly when going slow. You only showed us the jump and lack of rattle. Does it still have wobbly movement when it's moving slowly? Oh, and have you had to Re-do the fix over and over or is it a one-time fix? thx

  • @unku I have to admit, no matter how much calibration you're going to perform on this unit, I doubt it'll move smoothly on a very very slow rate. It reduces the amount of rattle, but it won't move slowly at this point so far. And the fix is one-time. Just that the calibration of how the faders fly up and down on the board itself is a pain in the ass to do. You'll get the hang of it when you actually sit down with it ..

  • @bahbuh And of course, if you're planning to get a better controller surface, by all means, please do. I'm sure it'll definitely be better than what this thing provides anyway. Haha!
