  • Inspiring....I have never been a runner but something got into me and I decided to do a 5K with only 9 days notice....tonight I ran 3.3 miles and feel great! I can't wait until my 5K Sunday morning. I am hoping to eventually build up to a half marathon. Thanks again!

  • Erica, that's awesome that you signed up for a half! You will have a lot of fun! People use a lot of foods during long runs. I personally use GU energy gel (Tri berry flavor to be exact). Jelly beans would also be good because they have the sugars your body will be needing. You could also try GU Chomps, which are very similar to jelly beans and have electrolytes which helps provide salt. Happy training! Jeff

  • Awesome video !!! I just signed up for my first half marathon which I am running in March 2012! I will be traveling to New Orleans for the rock 'n roll half marathon. Question, a friend that also runs says she travels with jellybeans in her pocket for her long-distance runs have you heard of this are do you do this? Thanks Erica
