You can actually kill Dagoth Ur in his immortal form by inflicting an enormous amount of physical damage on him. I killed him without even touching the heart of lorkan. Game didnt update but he disappeared and I was able to divine intervention away. Now I can go back whenever to finish the job. Magic doesnt work by the way.

this fight was disappointingly easy for me but still fun...all i did was use sunder to damage him quickly and when you get to the next area I ignored him and jumped off to the bridge because my hp was really high :D then i did what he did and killed the noob :D

one of the few things i dont like about this game is Dagath UR. He's so puny looking. Hes supposed to be this powerful evil god devil and he looks like thin man with a weird looking aztec mask on. Hell the Mudd Crabs in the game look more scary than him.

You need to get the item Wraithguard through the main quest.

Or, you could always get the Lefthand Wraithguard by skipping to the person who is holding it and killing them, but you need to have kept the people in one other plot-important location alive to fix the item. And more than 225hp to lose permanently.

If all else fails, buff yourself and quickly equip Keening and Sunder only when you need to use them at the Heart (like in the reigning speedrun).

My brother got to the heart except he hit it in like 5 hits and it broke then, BUUTT he didn't have Wraithguard OR Sunder he only had keening which gives you the Mortal wound efect and swiftly kills you, you can also kill him without using any of the three but takes like two hours, just keep hitting and healing thats how I killed and I didn't even start the main storyline I just got St. Alessia's weapon and all of the god spells and made one of my own that had max EVERYTHING

i didnt do that way i waited at the side of the bridge using levitate and waited for him to fall down to the lava so it was easier to kill the heart without him attacking you and then when i flew down to kil him he was sinking in the lava

I decided to try a run with the difficulty cranked all the way up. When I got to this, I destroyed the Heart, and at the same moment Dagoth Ur hit me with a spell. For some reason, this caused the spell EFFECT to dissapear, but the spell ANIMATION continued appearing. This meant that I was encircled wherever I went by red mist. I was sooooooo pissed off!

Just solved it another way:

1. Cast Levitation and drink a absorb magic potion before entering that chamber where that Lorkhan thingie is

2. Run into it and fly down to the Lorkhan thingie.

3. Do the sunder & keening stuff.

4. Drink a good health potion.

5. Beat the living shit out of Dagoth Ur

After all it was too easy..... *LOL*

lol theres an easier and more fun way to do it. After you destroy the heart just cast levitate and land on one of the rocks at the bottom of the room ( where the lava is ). Dagoth Ur will be dumb enough to follow you and fall into the lava where he will slowly burn xD

actually they wre never real gods. they wre false gods, from mortal to a god. at the end of the Tribunal campaign, Azura speaks the mrotals are not meant to be gods. and if you think about it, Dagoth Ur, Vivec, Almalexia, Sotha Sil, all of their powers were tied to the Heart of Lorkahn. since it was destroyed, so was their powers and real gods are tied to their own powers, not by anything else. but it wouldve been sick if we knew the third step to tapping the heart's power instead of killing it!

Yeah the fighting style of the Elderscrolls series has been critiqued a lot but the real fun is in the quests, exploration, and of course lore. Morrowind is a huge game and there are a lot of gaps and loopholes that can take the fun out of the game as well. When ESV comes out probably in '10, they'll have a perfect game if they can improve the fighting style and plug up these gaps.

you can skip over that by killing vivec(his soul is really really good to trap, and aside from a spell he can only use three times he's a wimp) taking the wraithguard(the brown item on his body) and bringing it to the last dwarf in the corpsarium in Tel Fyre. He has the spider legs. He'll identify it and you can use it to hold keening and sunder. ((that's just what I heard))

You need to complete the quest line that you get from Vivec in order to kill Dagoth Ur, If you don't then you can't really beat the game. I know i've killed Dagoth Ur and Nothing happened because i didn't get the quest line from Vivec finished.

Actually, you don't need Vivec's quest line, but it is the easier road, the back road costs a good chunk of health.

Oblivion is done. They already reported that Shivering Isles was the first and only expansion pack to Oblivion. Right now they are working on the next Elder Scrolls game which is most likely not going to take place in Morrowind.

vivec will give you wraithguard, and near to the game's end you can get sunder and keening in the two cities in the red mountain, i guess they was Odrosal and Tureynulal, but i may be wrong

Don't talk to Vivec until you get the key to his palace, you only get the key after he wants to talk to you. And the third trial quest, the quest to obtain moon and star, doesn't take you to Vivec.

I believe, it's been a while since I played, but given that Azura's star, not the soul gem, the actual star, needs to be visible to get in, it's a safe bet, especially if you couldn't get in. It'll be easier to prove once you actually get in, the star's visible from 6 to 8, both am and pm, of every day. If the inside has friendly spirits and a statue wearing a ring, bingo, you're on target.

No, there is a shorter back road, but you need a lot of health to take this road, preferably over 400 since your gonna lose 200-225 health this way.

I feel you man I don't remember the type of video card (Becaues some one made my computer for me) and it was kick ass till a few years later the fan to cool the video card busted... I have the fan replaced but that didn't help any it jsut over heated so now I was DOWNGRADED! TO a built in video card that I think pentium 4. Also the DVD driver died as well so I was replaced with a older DVD. So thats my lifes story. Morrowind and Oblivion plus the expsantion FTW!!!

Daedric Cuirass - you can find it in Norenen-Dur, Wailingdelve (TES3: Tribunal)(Underground shrine, one quest takes place here)

Daedric Right Pauldron - Castle Karstaag Tower (Bloodmoon, impossible to get without 1.6.1820 patch).

It is so long, so I'll give the short version.

1. Get your chaacter buffed up to a high lvl.

2. go to vivec and kill him (seriously)

3. go to tel fyr and into the caverns. talk to the dwarf and retrieve his books so he may give you wrathguard ( you need loots of health at this point.

4. obtain keening from Odrosal

5. obtain sunder from Vemynal

6. go to Dagoth Ur's citedel and kill him

7. go into the heart chamber and hit one time with sunder and the rest with keening.

Man, just get "Great house Dagoth" Mod and join the Fucker. Then stab him in his sleep to claim lordship of Sixth house. Oh, and YOU are practically immortal. When you die, you just reappear in the Chamber of the heart. Fucking awesome mod, does need a bit of scripting work, though.

get it in the main quest or kill vivec, take the dwemer artifact on his corpse and give the artifact to the dwarf in tel fyr corprusarium and he'll turn it into wraithguard(left hand). this effectively means it's possible to get 2 wraithguards, one for each hand

You can't pick his pocket or mug him, the only way to get it is to kill him. I know, I've tried. For anyone wondering why, it's the fact that Vivec is technically a creature, and you can't pickpocket creatures.
