This car is covered in a recent issue of Hemmings Muscle car magazine and there is quite a story on it. Not only does it sound bad-ass but its been in competition on a variety of road courses. Hell'uva automobile.
The car actually had a 360 that was replaced by a 401. This was when the car was first put together. I posted a clip fshot at Riverside three years later.
I had that hatchback with a 258 straight six. I never had a car that rusted so badly, including the front shock towers and rear spring perches. How do they beef up the front end to hold a big block? The design of that hatchback body still looks good though
Yeah it was pretty good I got some pretty good pics of it. I went to Great Lakes right afterwards for the Night of Thrills got great pics of that and video to.

I love my hornet, it is a drag car and it runs 7.0 in the 1/8th, not much speed but one attention getter.
