As if! I love vegemite (could be though I've grown up with it). What u have to do is put heaps on with heaps of butter and the bread has to be almost burnt
you need to take a teeny tiny bit and spread it all over the slice of bread or toast and it taste delicous,im a proud aussie that eats vegmite and loves it ;)
@sunderstorm3 Can you type and speak proper English? The comment that you left makes no sense, but thanks for helping increase the views on my video. I really appreciate that.
WAY too much, Americans always need an Aussie to help them out, even if you heard not to put so much... I'm American, but I got help from my Grandmother. Who is half Australian.
So funnY! And you Americans like savoury and sweet together (peanut butter and jelly). UGGGGHHHHH!! LOLOLOL You HAVE to try vegemite and cheese on toast! YUM!
you idiot. i live in australia, no one in their right mind (except for the rare people that enjoy it) puts that much vegemite on - when its thick of course it tastes like crap hahahhaa - you're meant to get toast, put butter on it, and then get the vegemite and SKIM it over the top - literally you aren't meant to have more than the size of your pinky fingernail over the whole piece of bread hahahahha :)
I am still yet to see an American actually eat it the way we Australians do... On toast with butter... and just a thin layer on top.. some people have more but you are not meant to eat it the way you would spread peanut butter.
lol, butter would have been a good idea...but anyways i usually just eat it out of the jar when im bored..not sure how you would feel about doing that haha
Vegemite is made from leftover beer making by products so it make sense that you say it tastes like old beer. Better you than me. Thanks though. Now I know I don't want any. :)
@2TheLeftOfNoWhere No actually its made from yeast. the first time it was made there was yeast left over at a bruary so they decided to do something with it. it never actually went into the productionof beer. and they spreaded that on pretty thick, so no wonder they didnt like it. every american ive come accross has spread it wrong. but thats to be expected in the fatest nation on earth :)
LOL! This took me back to the "Hawaiian Food Fear Factor Challenge" videos of last summer. In a word..........cuttlefish! (Yes, many of your subs will remember what I'm talking about.)
Fun video!
I just sent you a link about fiber one bars. LOVE them! My favorite is strawberry almond. YUM....might have to eat one with breakfast in the morning....hmm...
Sooks! You're supposed to eat it by the tablespoon well and truly heaped.

As an Australian: You are not Aussie unless you love Vegemite.
PezOfTheNextGen 5 months ago
the reason why it tastes so strong is because you are supposed to spread it lightly with a lot of butter then it tastes good
aafcfreak 6 months ago
i go thru maybe 3 of them containers on 2 slices of bread :\

oh my god okey as An Aussie.. you gotta have it with Butter and it's like a 1 part vegemite to 2 parts butter k
and it's made with an extract from yeast which is also a main ingredient of beer
realli it's just for the salty-ness ..and salt is a flavour inhancer, so some people add cheese and some people put avacados and tomato and stuff
newagesakura 1 year ago
I'd eat all your leftovers hahaha Try it with buttered toast its not so strong

Nice hot toast
Butter - has to melt
Still to thick - thin, very thin, thin enough to not be overpoweringly salty.
Goes well with OJ, tea or coffee or on wheat biscuits.
You septics are so funny how you have to spread it on so thick - it is not peanut butter - don't be all bigger than Texas about it.

Yay, Vegemite!! Sounds a lot like my jar of Marmite... suddenly I feel like having marmite on toast, but this time without butter
(did you have butter on the toast? I was told by JohnofJordan that it is customary to butter the toast before putting the vegemite on)
brojoghost 3 years ago
Nope... didn't butter the toast. I don't think it would have made any difference.. other than making it more salty. haha.
