Judging by the waves created by the vehicle entering the water you have no clue how to drive through a mud hole. It's supposed to be gradual. Great job!
Did that in my XJ, just the water was about to the top of the plastic panels on yours, I have no lift, and went in too fast and hydrolocked the engine. haha "good times" and a lot of interior cleaning. Still going tho at 243K
This is cool, my jeep is just one level under yours I guess. I have the 3.5" lift with 31's and you have the 4.5" lift with 33's. How's you fuel economy?
Been there, done that in the past. I seal the factory vent on the trans and run a proper vent to the air box. coupled with the snorkel, my ZJ will scuba drive through just about any hole. Good luck. I feel your pain, but I am still at it with my 5.9
Same thing happened to my 98 GC limited 6 weeks ago, Except my front was under water. Broke a rod from water getting in the engine. I vacuumed over 20 gallons of water out lol.
Its still getting fixed, spent 900 on parts so far. Should have it back in 3-4 days! cant wait.
love the WAY UR ZJ SITS.. WHAT LIFT BRAND DO U HAVE STOCK ARMS? TRACK BARS? BRAKE LINES? DOING MINE SOON JUST WONDERING TO KNOW WHAT WILL BE NEEDED? THANKS,
The diffs and t-case were fine, i wish i could say the same for the trans. I ended up rebuilding my 42re a couple weeks after this cause it kept acting up. I flushed out the trans right after this happen but it was too late. When i rebuilt it i relocated the vent and added a trans cooler.
Also my infinity amp quit working after its little swim so i just bypassed it and threw in a head unit. Took out the interior and washed the carpet and put it all back in and it has perfect interior again.
These situations always suck... i have yet to get stuck with it deep enough to take in water but i was about a 1/4" from it once, only times i've been in water that deep i didn't get stuck luckily. I'm guesisng there were some hidden ruts. Also, shit man, you've got the infinity amp underneath the seats, the must have sucked to get wet. Grand looks awesome man, check out mine on my channel.

The jeep should be pulling the ranger out of the mud, not the other way around!

Man, my 97 is on 35's and I wouldn't even blindly go through a mud hole without grabbing a stick to check the depth first, live and learn right.

@theoriginalmodz I hosed off the carpet and put it back in. I'm not worried about getting my carpet muddy, i like it quite on the interstate :)

sorry for you man... this must suck really bad. I've got a winch on now, and there's a reason for it!
Dude just a tip but you probably know already.. drain your diffs, and check AT fluid and T-case fluid. In a long deep bath, water might slip in there.
