  • my coach tells us to use oue legs and not our ars cause then it goes to high because of to much power..

  • I'd listen, his bio - 6 YEAR UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MEN'S VOLLEYBALL COACH ONLY ONE OF THREE PLAYERS IN WORLD WHO HAS WON AN INDOOR AND BEACH CHAMPIONSHIP! ELEVEN TIME ALL-AMERICAN 2 TIME MVP OF USA Volleyball NATIONALS 1988 VOTED BEST BLOCKER AND SPIKER ON AVP TOUR 1986 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD MEDALIST 1986 CO-MVP WITH KARCH KIRALY ON TEAM USA 1985 WORLD CUP GOLD MEDALIST 1984 OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST 1980 NCAA MEN’S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPION 1979 PAN-AMERICAN TEAM

  • Listen to this man. Do you even know Who This IS??? He was the friggin' "Go-To Guy" when they needed a Kill. He was a Member of the 1984 U.S. Mens Team which Won the GOLD at the Olympics here in Los Angeles.

  • I don't know, I find using your arms too much when digging a spike would not be nearly as effective as absorbing the ball with your legs. Using your legs will reduce the speed of the ball coming out of your arms and the bump to the setter will be accurate

  • My coach says the same thing, good tips

  • but what evr works for you i guess and whats comfortable

  • well if you have your left foot forward doing a set pass then the ball can go to the edge of the net more causing the other team to hit it... thats why most ppl i know pass with there right foot forward and its more comfortable to put my right foot forward and thats what my coach says and she is the best coach in our state we represented top 10 during the junior ovaa national team

  • The idea is interesting, and I agree with low passes to run a fast offence off a free ball or serve receive, but not when playing defence. I have trouble envisioning a setter to transition that quickly off those low passes when on defence.

  • @shaunnevett low passes = faster offence, if you have nice passes and a good setter your offence will be unstoppable and the other team's defence will struggle just to keep up

  • Great video Pat! Keep them coming.

  • omg.. thnkx this helped me alot... i'm gonna be playing volleyball in my upcoming 8 grade year, so that means i didn't play in 7th and might be behind.. i've been looking up vids and trying them alot of the ways they tought had flaws or was just ok.. ur is perfect ..thnkx for the tip
