R33 Skyline GTR Launch

Not bad, I drop mine at around 6500 RPM, she just plants, and boom out of there. Carbonetics Twin Plate.

Why would any one want a rear wheel drive GTR? Just drop a 26 in a type M body and be done with it.

A trick I had done to mine was re sequence the clutch pack in the transfer case, here in JAPAN it's  called a circuit drag tune, brings the front end in faster and harder.

But the first problem was too many electronics doing things, then there's the bulk of it, it just felt too heavy.

More importantly, try driving a car like that around the streets of London and its suburbs. You never get very fast. And it felt terrible on the motorway. It felt like there was no grip.

Every now and again it was fun though but I enjoyed driving my imported Prelude more. Same handling, same limited top speed but more agile.

@nitrousboy0311 Actually not with a BCNR33 as the transfer case holds a little residual pressure, as a result the front wheels always have a tiny bit of torque. A BNR32 on the other hand fully releases the transfer, and is pure RWD with the fuse out...

Now when I look at a 32/34, they don't have the same stance as the 33. Mind you, I'm still getting my Bayside Blue V-Spec II. Once again, it how everyone sees them and that can't be changed, but a modified 33 is still has fangs, don't ask how/why, just does, hehehe...

@bohdanko90 The easiest way for me to tell apart a R33 GTS-T from a GTR is that the GTR has a wider bodywork around the wheels, ie wider wheel arches to accomodate fatter tyres for racing. I can't tell from this video, but from images on google of this particualar car it appears to be a GTR.

If you pull the fuse for the Attesa 4wd if only drives on the rear wheels (rwd), this one in the movie is a R33 GT-R with a single turbo (the sound) and a removed Attesa fuse. Fricki'n idiot..

@SupraTompan You have to pull the shaft out and the Attesa system locks out the front on its own instead of just spinning like in neutral. The Attesa system also allows for a good amount of tire spin. When he hits 3rd, notice it hook up really well? Looks like it had the ETS pro system because when the car got squirly, it hooks and straightens its self out. Yes the pro was option on non v-spec GT-r. In other words, he didn't "pull a fuse" because it is obviously still engaging how it should.

@240sxmetal You don't have to pull the front drive shaft out, you still have a few percent of force to the front wheels if you pull the fuse for the attesa because of the central clutch has some tention in it. God.. i know a dozen of people who have done this. I have a V-spec GT-R though, it has a hydraulic active rear differential, it doesn't lock the rear differential if i pull the fuse, but for all non V-spec, pulling the fuse works perfectly if you want you R33 rear wheel driven. Still

Still it's recommended to take the front drive shaft out so you don't wear out the central clutch (the few percents of torque it gives without the fuse, the clutch get's warm and worns out pretty fast).
