yes, it does use a shit load of battery and it makes the device slow, in fact it makes the device unusable, it's only good for a gimmick :-)

oh, and BTW: this is no fake, it's not chroma keying, green screen (lol, what an idea!), no script that uses the camera bug! It's real.

It's funny to see how people start complaining and flaming each other (and me, of course). All in all there was only one person over at xda's forum, who found the correct solution, at least he found the way i did it.

Well I found a "script" of sorts using mortscript, but it's exploiting a camera bug and doesn't look like the video. As I've always said, it's fake, but the video inspired some smart people to find a real way of doing it.

Ever think that that camera bug is how it was done in the first place? Only reason it doesn't look the same is because of the TouchFLO 3D theme, I believe because of the transparency. Change the theme, I'm sure if will look the same. In the mean time, just open up SecondToday with that background, and it's clear as day.

I was trying to coax people into giving the solution. Even now I'm still looking for info with this trollish comment. I deleted the comments after I found the solution. Now all I need to know is the color code the camera uses for it's overlay (like #F3F3F3 or something) and I can create a WM theme, and a touchflo wallpaper using that color. It's not black, but it's gotta be something only slightly off.

Flat out asking the author doesn't help which is why I have to douche it up in here.

Well, I did simple web searches. In fact, I did simple web searches for two months straight after this video came out then finally gave up. Then some needle dick like you stumbles upon it at the right time, does a search, and finds a recently posted solution. Excuse me for not trying to search for another two months. What help have you provided? What answers have you given? I did what I did trying to get some kind of answer from someone "to prove me wrong" but nobody did. Everyone was pretty much acting like a shithead, so I acted like one myself. I had searched for a solution to this for WEEKS until I gave up. Just a few weeks ago someone posted a solution at xda, and I'M THE ONE WHO POSTED THE LINK HERE. Not anyone else. If anything, I'm the most helpful here, while you remain to be a pompous prick.

Tried it, didn't work, same result. Sorry I didn't post that your second today suggestion failed on my end.

On my tp it's obvious only partial overlay is being caught. This could be due to compression in jpegs, but even with png and 100% quality jpeg it still gives me the same kind of trippy pattern. I have a feeling its just a matter of it being the color code or something.

You have to go into the Second Today settings and set the background to the file included with that script (haven't looked at what color the background actually is). No pattern at all on my TP doing that.

Yeah I did. Actually the script seems to do it for you also even if you don't do it manually. That's weird your tp doesn't get the same pattern as mine. I'm on sprint, with an august build, how about you?
