You guys know that a well built 572 will make 900 HP on 93 octane right? and that's still using a conventional head and steel rod. Pretty insane cam profile but it'll make the number. Don't need a blower to make big power. As well, the GMPP crate motors are garbage, the ZZ572 is rather underwhelming.
it's all GM you idiot. you can build a lot of engines that will beat a stock 572, it's not some super engine that can't be beat. And on the other hand, you can beef up a 572 to beat almost anything. thats 600+ HP stock buddy.
love the 572 in my opinion best block ever built. slap a supercharger on it ha might rip the whole rear end out actually i was surprised that the 572 by itself didnt cause thats a powerful engine. I would put a ford(dont like ford but have a good rear end) 9 inch in it.
i think the 572 is too delecate, you cant bore it ever because the cylanders are too big, my favorite is the 427 but fords do have a good rear end, my 454 has snapped a rear end before

It's not a ZZ572. A pathetic mechanic would buy a crate motor. I built this motor. And yes one foot was on the brake to start because the person taping this was only 10 feet from the car, and I was only a few feet from a barb wire fence. All bad reasons not to tend the brake. I'll try to tape one without braking nest time I take her out.
Also, for what it's worth, when it started to roll, I was completely off of the brake, but had to get off the gas as well due to the rear sliding towards the fence. I await the posts of your car.

A longer stroke makes more bottom end torque. If the Olds has a longer stroke it would equate to more low end.

A 572 requires a "factory custom" block, or aftermarket-depending.
Larger deck height, longer stroke.
You could get it out of a 454.
