  • would they sting you if you were to touch the anemone?

  • clownfish are the only friends of anemone

  • @mj07292

Although this misconception is sometime's true depending on the species of clown and the anemone, someone anemone could eat the clownfish :) lol i've seen it happen before.

  • ya....sea anemone belongs to d gp cnidaria nd so dey possess stinging cells ...hence dey paralyze d prey...

  • Is the black fish the sea anemone's buddy? Howcome it didn't get eaten?

  • Does this anemone have a paralysing venom? I notice that fish didn't move upon contact.

  • nice music

  • ... dude, that's cruel. That poor bloody fish was trying to swim away.. you re-create an environment for creatures in a tank so they may live out naturally and you may observe. It's not to play god with poor ity bity goldfish not even native to the same waters.

  • aww look at the fishes face hes like " OOOOOOOO NOOOOOoooooeess ! "

  • mörder dafür gibt es stinte

  • mörder

  • damn o.o

  • so i take it these arent reef safe

  • bastard?

  • im reporting you :( you dont do it on purpose, its normally a natural thing you great twat :(

  • Theres no need to feed it live fish. Its not fair to do that to the poor fish. Just buy frozen food for it.

  • @pronster1 you do know that all fish food is made from fish that had to die horribly and end up with less food value right.

  • @PoundsOfClowns

Its a gold fish. it should not even be in the same tank as it. Thats so wrong

  • sea anemone: your all mine! wha hahaha!!! mine! yes! all mine!

  • is the sting dangaerous to humans ithink so

  • He has a tomatoe clownfish and domino damselfish, both of which are immune to the anemone's stick and venom...except when their slime coat comes off from excessive stress and the anemone eats them...which is rare.

  • darn, i guess that little man had gotten a bit too close to that anemone:(

  • if it kills the fish...why put it in the tank? im confused :S

  • @abc2k8 u feed it fish. they wont really swim up to it unless they r dumb fish. lol. thats y he uses tongs

  • oh I see.

  • @abc2k8

Anemones like this one can`t eat all types of fishes. some are have an immunity to the stings via, a think mucous. besides, anemones are way more interesting then fishes anyway.

  • like clown fish

  • I saw carpet anemones on the reefs around Guam, but I didn't guess they were so flexible. I thought they were anchored over their entire base. It almost moves like a "blob". Normal anemones have the stomach in base; this one must have multiple bases/stomachs, I guess?

  • nice tank what size is it

  • does feeding this anemone live fish raise any nitrate/nitrite/etc levels in the tank?

  • at the place I work we had like a 12'' diameter carpet anemone. I had to get it out and bagged but there was this tomato clown that lept out of the water and flew into the anemone. He really loved his anemone

  • Your wierd

  • name of song please

  • why did you seperate that one black fish?

  • isn't better to feed her with shrimp?

Why should you kill some other poor creatures. Shrimps will do fine!

  • Is it safe to keep an anemone in a tank with many fish? Won't it eat them too? Sorry if the question is stupid but I'm still trying to learn everything I can about fish-keeping.

  • twat

  • cunt

  • did you feed it goldfish? if so i didnt know you can feed a saltwater creature of any sort a freshwater fish. thats weird but pretty cool. and i like how the domino damsel came and hosted right when it was eating lol.

  • Yes, it is a goldfish, but only after that I found out that it is not good to feed it a freshwater fish and stopped.

  • Is that a quarantine tank you have on the top right?

  • Yes.

  • dude thats fucked up...just feed it raw shrimp or silver sides..Live fish completely unnecessary and a bit sadistic

  • Nature at its best.

  • What is the music you put on this? I'd really like to know.

  • It is Paul Oakenfold's song called Zoo York

  • I have to agree with folks here.. feeding it a live fish is a bit mean. Yea they eat live fish in the wild, but in the wild the fish are dumb enough to swim into it. That fish didn't even get a chance. I believe in a fair fight! :3

  • maybe it wants a slice of pizza sometimes

  • is it really necessary to feed it a live fish?it just seems a little mean even though its a natural process. i always feed mine with leftovers from the grocery store.

  • some fish will ONLY eat live fish or at least frozen

  • i am scared

  • at 1:36 is that a damsel

  • Yes

  • thats wreid cause i feed damsels to my anemone, i find them to be a much more natrul choice than gold fish fry "feeder fish"

  • hahahahhahhaahah i love tha litel skull head is like says ( welle i wa a good show now its time for me to sleep

  • wtf r u on about?

  • song....requim for a dream?

  • It is Paul Oakenfold's song called Zoo York

  • u should throw away that skeleton it makes the whole thing look childish and not natural... anyway, great tank whats the type of ank ur using?

  • The tank is handmade, approximately 350 liters.

  • I think the skeleton is cute. Nothing's wrong with it.

    -Chris

  • yeh but it doesnt look natural

  • Yeah, but this isn't an actual aquarium that people visit. It's a home aquarium, and home aquariums should be FUN.

    -Chris

  • well, thats not true its all about your personal choice.

a home aquarium without castels and treasure chests can be fun to.

  • I love the music, don;t you feel like a bit of a sadist perhaps give the fish a chance LOL.

  • brutal but I guess it has to eat, that black fish had so much damn energy whats it called, really cool tank you got set up.

  • 3 spotted damselfish

  • emmmmo

  • Could you give me the name of that song? It's an interesting mix.

  • It is Paul Oakenfold's song called Zoo York

  • this is a carpet anemone,it is one of the anemone that will stink your hand

  • I heard the fat in freshwater is bad for saltwater tanks. How long have you bin giving it gold fish? those liars.

  • 5-6 months until someone told me that it is not good. I don't know, maybe it is true.

  • die goldfish

  • LOL Love the skeleton fits right hahahahahaa well you spent good money for that carpet nem he deserves treats like that =D....

  • not a live 1. that's just cruel. yes, I no they eat live stuff in the wild, and it's hard 2 find a humanely killed goldfish, but still, at least give the poor thing a painless death...

  • poor fishy :X lol

  • I thought you could throw those critters food like raw meat.

I have heard of an old lady who kept an anenome as a pet for close to 40 years and she fed it raw lever once a day.

  • I'll show up at your house tomorrow at noon with the animal protection agency D:<

  • and ud be lucky not to live by me because youd get blown away for being a fucking fairy

  • yes your are, Xf1, you dumb fuck, what do you think they eat in the wild

  • they would eat Xf1 nonexzisting dick

  • hey, if you're keeping them in captivity, give them the food pre-killed. it's easier for them, and less cruel for the food. that was just mean, feeding it a live fish. D=

  • sorry douchebag, poor thing didnt havea chance

  • sorry douchebag, poor thing didnt havea chance

  • umm gold fish are not exactly the best food for a carpet. and the black fish is a damsel.sometimes they host

  • Yes I understood that after filming this and have stopped.

  • its not a clownfish its a three spot domino damsel

  • why didnt it kill the black one

  • it mjst have been a clownfish or it would have gotten stung, that anemones entire top side body has stinging cells

  • That's a little harsh, leaving the fish alive and all. why they do that?

  • cause its a fish, it has no feelings or memory or knowledge of death

  • hahaha

  • great reply..fuckin moron

  • well fuck you to.

  • bit of an expensive supper lol

  • 10 cents each

  • im sure that reef needs more flow, the carpet would appreciate that as they rely on strong flow to carry there waste away, and stops detritus from settling, lowering nitrates, whats the reason for that low water movement?

  • Very pretty anemone, make sure what ever you feed your anemone...its no bigger than 1/4 of an inch (krill and mysis shrimp are best to feed)

  • why? my small heteractis malu with a less powerful sting than that carpet has no problem with feeder goldfish and king prawns and just spits out the skull or any unwanted parts the next day, if the amemone cant eat it because its just tooo big then it will release it, what do you think would happen in the wild if a huge fish touched the nem? do you think it would be stuck to the side of a 60lb parrot fish for ever?

  • the skull is tacky man.. But cool vid

  • incredibly tacky...my girlfriend was at petsmart with me, and sheasked if i wanted to get a car decoration they had, for my tank, i laughed my ass of, she didnt know we dont do things like that to our expensive and natural tanks..maybe some cheesy freshwater setup, but not for saltwater

  • well when i had a sea anenome i fed it frozen food what you do is you go out and buy a little syrynge then you melt the frozen food lets say brine shrimp and you eject the brine shrimp right near the anenome to make sure that he gets some

  • Yes, I used to feed it with frozen food. The anemone liked it in the beginning, but after 1-2 months it started to eat harder and harder and I stopped and gave it a live freshwater fish and it ate it for couple of seconds and since then I am feeding it with such fish. Maybe I'll try again with the frozen.

  • its not good because freshwater fish dont have as much omega-3 in them and anenomes need omega-3 plus im assuming you are feeding it goldfish or small koi the carp family has alot of unneeded fat in them and because the anenome is mostly stationary it cant burn off the excess fat that the carps will give it and it will eventually die.

  • Ok, thank you. I will stop feed them with such fish. What will you propose to feed them with?

  • If you pull away the fish it will live. But depends on the anemone. This carpet anemone does not paralyze the fish, but sticks it to its tentacles and pulls it into its mouth. Other anemones paralyze the fish and cannot move, but I am pretty sure they will live if they are released.

  • its not good to feed them freshwater fish

  • Mine died... it go all saggy... and it stunk up the WHOLE house!

  • Omally2, why it is not good?

  • HAHA sweet
