Awsome ......GIRLS OF 15 SEXUALY KNOWING........................superb this quadropeinia movie will never be bettered.................i ride a 2006 Yamaha R6 with all the bells and whistles on it carbon everything ... pure race bike ...and i would trade it for a lamb or a vesp all day
Do you have the version of 'Love Reign O'er Me' that was on the movie soundtrack? Been looking for it everywhere. It's not -that- different from the album version, save for a flute right before the singing starts, and a different ending.
I seriously think that why I'm stuck in eternal Jimmy mode, is that Ive never bought ah scoot and drove it over ah cliff! That should do it, by fucken' golly!
google quadrophenia movie mistakes thers loads, but who cares , i 1st seen this when i was 13yrs old in 1979 (it influenced my life then and still does to this day) and WAS i looking for mistakes i dont think so, its only now that we've all got nowt better to do that we look for these things
Fantastic film/soundtrack...Am i the only one who identified with Jimmy? Everyone's so content, like sheep in their humdrum lives...he wants passion, love, fun,excitement.....'I want it to be like Brighton an that!'....love it!
i went to see quadrophenia live thats when i got into liking THE WHO and now im absolutly obsessed with them they are absolutely brilliant and i hope people get to realise the olden fantastic music .i have 2 t-shirts of he who(vintage)and 2 cd's and a dvd set keeping in mind im only 13 but they are still FANTASTIC
At the party the LP on the table is A Quick One/Who Sell Out, which is a seventies reissue of those albums released in '66 & '67 and as this is supposed to be '65 and pre '65 oinly a minor bloomer of a good film. Where were the Lambretta's with the side panels removed? Couldn't spot one!
For me it was the circle line, round and round. When it flooded and we were trapped there for 2 hours I scarcely noticed. Luckily I value my time here a lot more now.
I'm sure alot of us in the 60's& 70's have been on that train wherever you lived, and been totally gone on reds and coke or dilaudids and jack d. and lived to remember how precious life really is.but some never did.
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant...out of my brain on the train!! Never forget the 10 of us storming the theatre the day it came out here in Milwaukee!! Time moves so fast...cherish your life, it's just like a movie!!
@MickeyLove01: If you had to change at Clapham Junction, to get to Brighton from Waterloo, why would that be significant?? Because Quadrophenia was recorded in Studios along Stewarts Road, Battersea, just by Nine Elms Market (not far from Clapham Junction). The band used to drink in a pub called the Butcher's Arms in Stewarts Road SW8 (check out the address on the back of the album). So may be Pete was right about the 5.15 after all.....

Then and Now is a compilation; it was indeed originally from Quadrophenia, written for the movie/soundtrack of course

You made me curious as to whether the train did do that trip, I am not a regular trainspotter that knows such things! I looked it up, I confess.

In the year this film was set the train did go direct from Brighton to Waterloo.
Now today you have learned something.
