    1) assigning buttons to actions (I'm not trying to make a 1st person shooter --and I want more controls than movement and mouse.

    2) doors, like opening on collision or with a button (like (1))

    3) importing skeletal (not static) meshes from something like Blender, making one's own animations, etc, etc... basically, characters

    4) can you import sounds? like music?

  • @FlinchKiller Hi, I think you should attach the event to "Level Loaded" and not a trigger (which is what raven did). That shud do the trick.

  • After adding the AnimSet you click Anim in matinee and add a key so the drop down window comes down (3:19 in video) you said movement and I was so confused for like 20 mins >.< lol. Regardless these tutorials are great. Thank you for your knowledge.

    or i will need to create a volume and attach it to the soldier?

    The rest is acceptable, but a bit fast and confusing for everybody who is not familiar with the UDK (not me).

    i'm pretty new in udk, and i have a question...

    when i'm placing a skeletal mesh actor for example i cant raise him up to the floor.

    i mean the actor doesn't touch the floor its always too high or too low (in the brush)

    can u tell me how did u do that? thx

  • This may sound retarded, but i can't right click at all once I'm in the Matinee to add a Skeletal Mesh group. I have no idea why this is happening and was hoping you would.

  • You know what, thank you for this tutorial. All I needed was a simple bridge tutorial that could help me do what I was trying to do for my cinematic. I'm making it to where if you walk up to a charater, you trigger him or her to talk or a animate. I knew it was simple as this but alot of tutorials beat around the bush. Your video was straight to the point, and the fact that it is a video and not a pdf is so much better. Thanks again.

  • You can chaige or add the collision by open

    the content browser, double click on a static mesh. en click at the top bar "collision")

    select a collision type. and there you go!

    I guess that is wahat you mean?

  • You can make your own player models. But I am not that great of a modeler or animator.
