I believe it was about 1999 or there about, my best friend Irene gave me this CD to listen to. I fell in love with it and when my father died, I had them play this at his service. To hear the message in the lyrics sung by Neil radiating off the walls in the church didn't leave a dry eye or a person without a goosebump. It was an awesome experience and I hope when my time comes, my family will do the same for me.

beachfrontal, I have to say, I AM IMPRESSED! I first heard this song about 3 years ago on radio 2CH in Sydney. It had just been released in the U.S at the time, and within half an hour, I had an mp3 copy, which is now probably my favorite of Neil's works. I also saw Neil Sedaka perform this live with a full Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House. As the song ended, almost the entire House were on their feet, applauding. I too wanted more!!! :-D

I have lived 57 yrs and I've talked to people about going back, would they. Many I spoke to says no yet I would give all I got to go back. My early years were rough but I would still want to go back. David,this is great. I know Neil Sedaka's work from his Brill Building days with Carole King. I had no idea this even existed. It must have been a labor of love for this brilliant lyricist and vocalist. Wow!

There a unique CD called classicaly Sedaka this track is taken from that CD, it is by far the most beautiful CD in the Universe, the music is classical, but the lyrics have been specially commisioned

I f you like this song then I can guarentee that you would adore the complete CD, there isn't one track that you think why did he bother, it is a masterpiece, unfortunately I believe it is difficult too find.
