I believe AIDS is spreading because of a lack of education and religious institutions actively blocking access to said education and protective paraphernalia, or much like your criticism implies an appeal to a particular set of moral values that have no influence on the people in question.

But I've met soo many people in my life time that have been educated and warned about their wild lifestyles and they dont learn their lesson until its too late. We humans are like that. I'm not claiming to have a scientific answer and i don't want to pull up statistics and sources but i do believe (and i stress believe) that education is the best way of prevention. And yes people will make mistakes or disregard sound advice but it is their choice and they have to live with the consequences. I'm just in favour of open dialogue, debate and examination about subjects rather then an appeal to an Authority or being forced to follow rules that you simply dont or cannot believe in.

There is a lot of misinformation about HIV on the internet. There are those, in the face of all available science, deny the existance of HIV and the connection of HIV to AIDs.

I am a doctor in the US, and I can assure you HIV exists, and infection with HIV often leads to AIDs.
