@Visscarionovich: The Tejas IS flying on a GE 404, you're so full of shit. And Kaveri ain't dead, its merely under powered with 89 KN of torque as opposed to 98, Google what it means fucking paanchvi pass.
LCA is 4.5 gen fighter .... the only problem faced by LCA is its engine... it's not as per requirement..... it uses composites material but still slightly heavy then estimated weight. A new engine is on way for which LCA has to be redesign. Furthermore it's design has one serious problem that it can't take out more than +6g turn..... weapon load is 4000kg but still can't pull a full weight..... some where near 2020 it will be fully ready as 4.5 gen fighter.
