I just don't get why they would put a guy who is supposed to be a nudist with shirt sleeve tan lines and why is that guy so dark - To be realistic, he would have to wear that same shirt in the sun for years to get from as light as he was to as dark as he is from the sun. What's up with that? That does nothing for the plot of the commercial so what is the subliminal message? OK, I am done venting but would appreciate other viewpoints.

I auditioned for the commercial. I didn't make it, but I don't consider myself an ugly nudist. I can't comment on whether or not it's offensive. I think I'm too close to the industry, but I do think it's realistic--somewhat. But hey, the man picked them up. He didn't run away screaming, nor did he blindfold his son.

As an unconventional nudist of 30 + years, i think we are laughing at the clothed driver and not the nudists in this ad. First of all the nudists in this ad would never take a balloon ride without back-up clothes with them. The scenario is unrealistic for humor reasons. I think the ad is funny. It recognizes that there are nudist out in the world still today. I think things are more fun without clothes; especially swimming.

Whoever wrote this commercial isn't a nudist, and neither is anyone who finds it "cute". It perpetuates the prejudice that nudists are whackos, their bodies are gross, and their lifestyle is nothing but a joke. Sure, we nudists have a sense of humor. But we laugh at squeamish people like that Honda driver, not the nudists. This commercial asks us to laugh at the wrong people. To me, this is a lot more offensive than pandas with Chinese accents, and based on an even deeper ignorance.
