@kalydascope Since the drums are shielded by the glass/plastic, whatever it is, the sound reverbs back to Tico, so it doesn't interfere with the other band members. I'm not quite sure how to explain it. The drums would be too loud as well without the barrier

@slickshot61 its because wen bands play at small venues ex:like here in the video or at like a church the sound bounces off the walls and dominates everything else...so by adding something rite in front not only bounces the sound back to tico, it also deafens it alittle so it can sound smooth and clean playin with the band.
